In a world that increasingly seeks to divide us along lines of perceived difference, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of openness, curiosity and the exchange of ideas, while still remaining grounded in who we are.

We asked our friend Alex Maertz of , an artist with a beautiful heart and great emotional depth, to create this illustration for us inspired by Gandhi’s famous quote:

“I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.”

Prints just arrived today and are now available in store and online.
