Our Windsor Residence hosted a very special (and very talented!) young musician this week! 🪉

Inspired by the Soothing Strings Program and volunteer Anita, he wanted to play for his godmother, a patient in our Windsor Residence, to show his love for her with his music.

A couple of weeks ago we had a meeting with Thomas, the sales manager ,who is also a viola player, and he tried our Violoncello da Spalla. He already heard about the instrument but never had the occasion to try one. We had an interesting conversation about the history of the instrument and its use today. When he tried it he could easily find a nice playing position and adjust the intonation, and after some minutes of concentration having one more string started to feel an advantage instead of being confusing. His impression was that it would probably take a couple of weeks to feel totally at ease with it. I hope there will soon be such a possibility.
