You wouldn’t think that a quick errand to pick up waterproof eye makeup remover would send you down memory lane, but that’s exactly what happened to me. Walking into the Shoppers Drug Mart at Runnymede and Bloor, I found myself thinking back to my university days when this beautiful old building was still home to a Chapters bookstore. My friend Steph and I saw so many movies here during those years that I’ve lost count, but Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is one that has always stuck with me. Before that, generations of Toronto moviegoers passed through its doors to catch the latest films in one of the city’s most distinctive theatres...

After two sold-out Toronto shows and her first West Coast tour, Yalene returns home to debut new material from her 2026 releases. Her music blends dreamy indie pop with alt-R&B, often leaning into themes of girlhood, relationships, heartbreak, and figuring yourself out in real time.

Her I’m Just A Girl show takes place this Saturday, June 6 at Burdock Music Hall, where she’ll be joined by her band for an evening of new music and fan favourites. Ticket info 🩵

As Lifelong Leafs Fans, We Now Have a Reason to Go to the NHL Draft in Buffalo

For years, the NHL Draft has felt like something that happened to other teams. Leafs fans have spent much of the Auston Matthews era watching the first round from a distance, often without a high pick to get excited about. But this year feels a little different. The 2026 NHL Draft is coming to Buffalo on June 26 and 27, just a couple of hours from Toronto, and for the first time in a while, the Leafs actually have a first-round pick. That alone has us wondering: should we make the trip?...

presenting a retrospective runway show featuring 36 pieces spanning 14 years of work from 2012 to 2026. The show brings together archival looks, including pieces never before seen on a Canadian runway, alongside newer designs.

Known for blending sharp tailoring with bold, artistic details, Charles Lu delivers a mix of our fave aesthetic… modern luxury and creative design that really stands out on the runway. It’s fashion as art at its core.

LION BABE played a sold-out show at The Great Hall last night and the energy in the room was unreal from the start. Everyone just wanted to dance. is the New York duo of singer Jillian Hervey and producer/DJ Lucas Goodman (Astro Raw), blending soul, R&B and electronic music.

Jillian Hervey’s vocals mixed with the production sounded incredible, and you could hear the love for house music and Donna Summer throughout the set. You could still feel the bass in your chest walking out of the venue, just how we like it! 🪩
