Alice Coltrane left a huge impact on the lives of many, with artists and musicians dedicating numerous works to her.

Happy birthday to Jimmy Rowles!

Jimmy Rowles, born James George Hunter, was an accomplished pianist, vocalist, and composer. He explored the jazz and swing genres, producing numerous songs including his most famous work, “The Peacocks”. Jimmy Rowles worked alongside Stan Getz to produce this instrumental jazz piece for its initial release in 1977.

Ruth Lowe was a Canadian pianist and songwriter. She wrote the song, “I'll Never Smile Again", after her husband died during surgery. The song was later covered by many artists, including Frank Sinatra and The Ink Spots.

August 9, 1934 – July 27, 2020
It is with great sadness, I am announcing the passing of my mother Pat McKenzie.
My little mommy passed away peacefully while we held hands and spoke back and forth, “ I love you, I love you, I love you…”
She will be fondly remembered by friends and family for her sense of humor, her love for being on the water and her love for broccolinis.
