We’re looking for emerging Black set designers to join our Black Theatre Training Program as mentees!
No experience? No problem. This opportunity is designed for entry-level participants who are curious, creative, and ready to learn.
You’ll be guided by award-winning Lois Brown and Hudson & Rex set designer Emily Austin through the fundamentals of set design, sourcing materials, and bringing a scene to life — all within a supportive, Black-centred artistic space.

Nous cherchons des concepteurs et conceptrices de décors noir(e)s émergent(e)s pour se joindre à notre Programme de formation en théâtre noir en tant que mentee!
Aucune expérience? Aucun problème. Cette opportunité est conçue pour les participant(e)s débutant(e)s qui sont curieux(ses), créatif(ves) et prêt(e)s à apprendre.
Vous serez guidé(e)s par la primée Lois Brown et Emily Austin, conceptrice de décors pour Hudson & Rex, à travers les fondamentaux de la conception de décors, l’approvisionnement en matériaux, et la mise en vie d’une scène — le tout dans un espace artistique bienveillant et centré sur la communauté noire.
