I’m sure a lot of you heard that Prairie and Pine closed its doors on the weekend. I’ve been a vendor there since the beginning, with my business launching a few months before the store opened. It was the perfect location for people to experience my candles in person and get my business name out there. I was so thankful to be apart of a store with so many talented, local vendors. Things were great for a while and I had high hopes that it would continue. But great things don’t always last. Not going to go into details. I’m sure some of you have heard or will hear about it soon enough. A really disappointing situation for all involved.

The vast majority of my sales have always been from Prairie and Pine. Online sales are tough with candles - go figure 🙃. So with the closure I feel pretty defeated. Currently looking at my options so I’ll keep you informed.

Right now is a perfect time to shop local and support the vendors that were affected by everything. Many offer local pick up and/or free delivery in Saskatoon and other areas in the province. Check out this weekend as tons of them will be there!

Zen is the first scent I decided on for my initial lineup of candles. I can’t believe it’s been over 2 years since I launched! Life has had many ups and downs these past couple years. Lots of lessons learned. Lots of introspection. Lately, I haven’t been as active on here. It’s been hard to find the motivation and inspiration to post consistently. There’s so much pressure to keep up with it. I gave so much of my energy to this when I first started. And it wasn’t sustainable. It wasn’t bringing me joy anymore, only anxiety. So I’ve had to take a step back and focus on other things that are important to me. Honestly, it’s been really nice. Less time on social media makes me a much happier person ☺️Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the support you’ve shown me! Keep your eyes peeled for a sale coming this weekend! 😉🥰
