Stuck on what to read next? The Coffin of Honey is Close Encounters of the Third Kind meets Annihilation, a poetic space-age fable of proletarian internationalism. This novel will both challenge and charm you with Morrison’s unique writing style. Basil Sylvester from Flying Books why he was enamoured with this novel:

[Geoffrey D. Morrison's The Coffin of Honey is an existential romp and a heartfelt cry for an international humanitarian awakening. It’s the Close Encounters of the Third Kind for our modern era. Morrison's command of prose and literary devices have me breathlessly awaiting whatever's next.]

Congratulations to Julia Elliott who is the winner of the 2026 Carol Shields Prize for Fiction for her short story collection, Hellions, published by Tin House. The award, which provides $150,000USD to the winner, is the largest English-language literary prize in the world for women and non-binary authors. We are open 10-5:30 today and have one copy in stock and will be bringing more in!

Quote from the jury: “This eerie, eclectic, genre-leaping collection takes no half-measures; every sentence of Hellions crackles or crawls. Here, human folly moves against a backdrop of horror and magic. There’s folklore in these stories, and Southern gothic horror, and surrealism, and fantasy, and, at their center, a thread of uneasy, bodily realism. The work evokes writers like Angela Carter, Dorothy Allison, Gloria Naylor, and Kelly Link. But for all its wildness, there is tremendous control; Elliott is a gifted and thrilling writer.”
