Medicine Bear Arts

Medicine Bear Arts Jadeon Rathgeber, AKA Medicine Bear, is an Indigenous jewelry artist, entrepreneur, and storyteller.

Drawing inspiration from his Cree heritage and lived experiences, he creates meaningful jewelry that blends traditional with contemporary Designs. Welcome to the artistic world of Jadeon Rathgeber, a native of northern Manitoba with rich Cree, German, and Swiss heritage. Born into the lineage of Halfmoon Woman/Pat Bruderer, a carrier of the ancient art of birchbark biting, Jadeon's roots run deep

in the cultural tapestry of Turtle Island. Immersed in the teachings of Nuu-Chah-Nulth carver Whey-hey-ukt-chuck, Jadeon found a transformative path in life. His journey into Turtle Island's culture, art, and history has become a passionate exploration, fueled by a second chance granted through profound encounters. Jadeon's art is not just a visual expression; it's a global voice for environmental and social justice. Using his creations as a medium, he travels the world, sparking conversations that resonate far beyond the canvas. This new purpose in life is dedicated to his daughter, family, teachers, and mentors who stood as pillars of encouragement. It's a tribute to the resilience of our ancestors who fought to preserve the rich tapestry of our culture and history. Jadeon's art spans diverse mediums, including yellow and red cedar, alder, pipe stone, soapstone, ram horns, moose bone, antler, and precious metals with intricate inlays. Each piece tells a story, weaving together tradition, nature, and the echoes of advocacy. Join us on a visual and intellectual journey that transcends boundaries, as we create of connection and understanding through an exceptional artistic lens.
