Hey! I know this is a baking page, but I can't sit back and watch the government strip the dignity from people who need the government support the most. Of course I don't want to lose funding from anything, but I definitely don't want to see our most vulnerable lose the funding they need to feel like they are members of this society. What the Tim Houston government is currently doing is dehumanizing people who rely on this government and their caregivers and telling them they dont matter. If you're in Nova Scotia, please consider sending the below email to your MLA and make sure they know that you need them to take action. "

I am writing to share my concern about the recent provincial budget cuts affecting disability supports in Nova Scotia.
These supports help people with disabilities build skills, find employment, connect with their community, and live with dignity. Reducing them will increase isolation, strain families and caregivers, and limit people's opportunities to fully participate in community life.
These cuts are also happening as the province works to implement the Disability Rights Remedy. This remedy was meant to address discrimination and strengthen supports so people with disabilities can live full and inclusive lives. Reducing funding during this time sends the wrong message.
I urge you to reconsider the impact of these reductions and advocate for the support people with disabilities rely on every day.
