It’s with heavy, but full hearts that we announce Vaughan’s General Store will be closing our retail location this month.
The last couple years have been incredibly challenging, but have also been full of joy, growth, new connections, and community building - and for that, we are so, so grateful.
To the local small business ecosystem, and all of the individuals who have given their time, advice, support, and friendship - Halifax is so lucky to have you and thank you for all you do behind the scenes to make our community the vibrant place it is.
To all the talented people who have popped up in our space, either to sell your products or share your talents and time in one of our many videos - thank you for helping us realize our vision of being a hub for the things we love in our community.
To the Vintage Collective, these past few months would have been nearly impossible for me if it wasn’t for all the positivity you brought in when we so desperately needed it most. You have all been an absolute joy to work with and we are so happy to call you all our friends for life.
And finally, to friends, family and customers, there are not enough thank yous to satisfy our gratitude. It has been such a gift to serve a community that cares so much and that has shown up so hard for us through the wake of a global pandemic and some of the most difficult economic times our region has seen in our lifetime. Having the opportunity to share these amazing products with you all has been a dream come true and we hope that you will continue to shop consciously, care deeply, and remember that small choices can have a big impact.
Our final day open on Agricola Street will be January 27th. We hope you will come by sometime in the next couple of weeks to say goodbye, help us clear out remaining inventory, and use up those gift cards! Close-out sale announcements coming soon.
Although we aren’t sure what the future will look like for Vaughan’s just yet, you’ll still be able to find us online and through our social channels after our physical shop closes, so keep following along to see what we come up with next!
