Ailuros Embroidery is the work of Lenka, a Red Deer–based artist who designs, digitizes, and stitches every piece at her home studio. Named for the Greek Goddess of cats, Ailuros Embroidery centers on feline familiars in all their forms. As a practicing pagan, Lenka is inspired by the love for cats, moon phases, sigils, and other pagan and witch aspects, as well as cats in our mundane everyday lives. She captures the feline elegance and mischief, creating unique, wearable pieces, that feel less like merchandise and more like talismans. Ailuros Embroidery strives to create unique, whimsy and sometimes quirky feline apparel with attention to detail worthy of a real witch.
