It’s summer again. And here we are. Me, dragging pots near open windows like a crazy person. The tropicals—they demand it, you know? The fresh air. The slight hint of a breeze. They wouldn't survive an actual Canadian summer outside, ben voyons. So, we compromise. A tiny bit of outdoor adventure, if 'adventure' means 'sitting on the porch for an hour.' Mostly, it's just me creating an indoor humid jungle. My spouse doesn't need to know how many more Hoyas fit.

"Another plant? Oh, it's tiny, it'll fit.

Look, I’m not saying I have a problem. I’m saying these plants are so good at pretending they don't take up space. So small, so mighty. Perfect for creating those 'lush corner' vibes without actually needing another room. You can group them! Layer them! And suddenly, that empty spot isn't so empty. Just don’t ask how many 'tiny' plants I’ve acquired lately. Don't.

1. Hoya Mathilde Inner Variegated - Miniature variegated splash for any small shelf.
2. Hoya Mamasa Mini - Another tiny Hoya, always fits somewhere.
3. Blue Fern - Adds texture and colour, takes zero space.
4. Peperomia nivalis 'Taco Leaf' - Little taco leaves, just too adorable, eh?

"Another day, another jungle to hydrate.

My therapist says I have an ""enthusiasm for foliage."" Sure, Jan. It’s an addiction. Especially with these Hoyas. They look chill, but they're secretly judging my watering schedule. ""Too much, Marvin? Not enough?"" I'm out here trying to create a tropical oasis, but really, it's just me trying to keep five plants from giving me the side-eye. At least their thick leaves give me a bit of grace.
