It’s almost been four months since I released Glitter in the Dust, and I still don’t have the words for what it feels like knowing pieces of my life are now in other people’s hands.
To everyone who has messaged me after reading it, THANK YOU. It has meant more than you know.
Writing the book was one thing. Releasing it was something else entirely. There is something terrifying about being that vulnerable, putting painful, personal parts of your life on paper and letting the world read them.
There were moments I wondered if I had shared too much. Moments I felt exposed knowing people now held parts of my story I once carried quietly.
But then the messages started coming.
People who related. People who cried. People who saw themselves in it. People who simply said, “Thank you.”
And every one of those messages reminded me why I wrote it.
Over the next little while, I’m going to step further outside my comfort zone and start reading and sharing small clips from the book. Hearing the words out loud feels like a new kind of vulnerability, but also something powerful.
And who knows… there may even be an audiobook one day. 💜
Almost four months later, I’m still learning that vulnerability can be both terrifying and healing.
Thank you for reading, for listening, and for holding my story with kindness.
Sometimes the stories we’re most afraid to tell are the ones someone else needs to hear 💜
