Some days the crystals cooperate… and some days it’s your hair that has other plans. 😅 Today is definitely one of those days!

While I’m laughing at myself, I wanted to pop on and remind everyone that we have a BIG weekend ahead at Awaken The Gems!

No hair. No makeup. No fancy filter today… just me after a very long week. 😅

One of my favorite things about being here at Awaken The Gems is getting to create pieces that mean something.

Last week I had the opportunity to create a custom anniversary necklace that combined two birthstones into one meaningful piece. I’ve also been working on custom jewelry for customers who come in, choose their own beads and stones, and let me bring their vision to life. Right now, I’m creating a custom rosary for a young man, and it’s been an absolute privilege to be trusted with something so personal.

If you’ve ever wanted a custom piece made, whether it’s a bracelet, necklace, rosary, or something uniquely your own, I’d love to chat with you about it.

And because we’re always listening to our community, you’ll soon start seeing some fun additions around the store! We’ve had so many people ask about treats while they browse, so we’re bringing in packaged candy and frozen ice cream treats in the near future. We’re learning, growing, and adapting as we go, and we’re grateful for every suggestion and every person who walks through our doors.

It’s been a week at the shop.
The ceiling finally stopped raining inside — win.

Then someone decided they needed our front mat + chairs more than we did — not a win.

So now I’m stuck on this: our sign/logo is hard to see because of the door angle.
Do I just paint it right on the door?
I honestly can’t decide and need your honest opinions.

Also, PSA: yes, we have “official” hours posted. But if you’re here, I’m here. I don’t close up on good conversations.

✨ Some days, a certain corner of the store just calls to you.

Today, it’s been our Chakra Centre for me. Maybe it’s because I’m feeling a little stuck and needing some grounding myself, or maybe it’s simply because I love the vibrant colours and energy of the space. Either way, I’ve found myself drawn back to it throughout the day.

I’ve also been stepping outside my comfort zone lately with TikTok and Instagram Lives. If you’ve joined one, you’ve probably seen me laugh at myself more than once while figuring it all out! But growth happens when we try new things, even when they feel a little awkward at first.

Today has brought a wonderful mix of familiar faces and new visitors, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who takes the time to stop by, browse, chat, share a story, or simply spend a few moments with us.

As we head into the weekend, I’m looking forward to meeting even more of you and continuing to build this amazing community we’ve created together. ❤️
