Is it too soon to post another announcement? Oh well! I'm doing it! I also will have a new fundraiser colour being released with the next update (announcement SOON for that!)

This is 4%.

It was the idea of and also named by 💕 A large portion of every pan sold ($10 per half pan and $20 per full pan) will be donated to Camp Ooch. This is a privately funded, nonprofit oncology camp for kids who have been affected by pediatric cancer can just be themselves around other kids who UNDERSTAND.

If you guys don't know Alexandra, she is a force! Her first order to me was a gift from her mom for her one-year cancer-free anniversary. This cause and this camp are near and dear to her heart and I wanted to do something to honour that.

So why 4%? Pediatric hospitalizations due to cancer cost 5x more on average than any other pediatric condition, but only 4% of government funding for oncology goes towards pediatric cancer. Chemotherapy treatments designed for adults are forced on children and enough research hasn't been done because... There's almost no funding!

This colour isn't limited edition. As long as this keeps selling, the profits will be donated to Camp Ooch,

She has been such a vital part of the welcoming community we've worked hard to build at Phidon.

Her new collaboration with Maclellan Books perfectly encapsulates her talent and all of the fantastic things she has done for us at Phidon. We are so grateful to have had so many amazing opportunities to work with her, and look forward to more in the future. Re-opening plans! Pen friends, we are ready to welcome you back. Mark your calendars: starting Friday, August 7th, we’re going to be open Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12-4. We’ve been moving furniture around to help with traffic flow, and we’re going to have arrows on the floor (anyone remember our old warehouse sales at Carlaw??). With Toronto hitting some very low numbers of recorded new cases and heading into Stage 3, we’re ready to get back into the swing of things. More details on the blog, link in profile, and will be forthcoming in our weekly newsletter (goes out on Tuesdays).

Brian Nagtalon, founder of PenOpulence, has passed away. He was an amazing man who lived such a beautiful, blessed life until the very end. The pen community was something that brought him so much happiness and I would like everyone that communicated with him to know that they were an integral part in what made him love running this business. As his first born, I will try my best to keep this afloat. It was something truly important to him and I want to keep it alive. Thank you to everyone who supported the business along the way whether it was through sales, comments, meetings, or any contact at all. He and I are more thankful for it than you know.
