Confession- I loathe doing custom pottery!
I think it comes from the dreaded feeling of disappointing someone and a huge sense of Imposter Syndrome- are my pottery skills developed enough to actually call myself a Potter? Every day I question this.
But I was asked to make a set of mugs by a fella to give to his wife for Christmas - Agh! A very set timeline. There are many opportunities for things to go wrong in pottery - what if I don’t get them done on time or they’re hideous?
But these turned out beautifully and I will definitely be working with this glaze combination again!!
Anyways, here they are. 4 mugs, all slightly different but will coexist beautifully together. Kinda like family and friends - we’re all different and special in our own way and perfectly perfect because of our imperfections.
The husband is very happy with the set and is looking forward to gifting them to his lovely wife, which makes me incredibly happy!!
