In the pursuit of collecting rare minerals, we become both collectors and curators of the Earth's profound history, holding fragments of time in our very hands.
They imbue us with perspective, proportion and a sense of humbling insignificance that allows us to better appreciate quite how little time we have to appreciate this planet.
