on sharing the history of each plate: where they were made, when they were created, and how they were crafted. It was something many households cared deeply about. Today, tastes have changed. People aren’t collecting full sets anymore, and many of these beautiful pieces have been tucked away or forgotten. I wanted to give them a new purpose, to let them be seen, used, and admired again. I started this because I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things, the kind that carry a bit of history and care. My interest in restoration began when I was fifteen, when I refinished my first old desk by scraping and sanding the wood back to its natural beauty (long before that kind of work was popular). Each creation I make is my way of honoring the beauty, history, and artistry of these pieces in a way that will continue to bring joy for many years to come.
