When you tell someone you’re going on a cruise it seems to elicit strong responses - like “oh wow take me with you” vs. “oh I could never do a cruise”. For us, cruising has its pros and cons - unpack once, see many places, sailing on a boat!, but it can also mean limited time to explore or be serendipitous, too many people, or limited choices. I think if you take it for what it is it can be a lovely way to travel - but just one way. My favorite part is sailing in and out of ports, having lunch and watching the wake we leave behind - or dancing with friends to 80’s music in the middle of the Mediterranean! I’m also drawn back in time to the slow romance of it before air travel was possible. We also like an affordable but nice cruise line like for ocean cruising - and now are learning differences between ships, too. What are your thoughts on cruises?
