কেউ কখনো বলেন না যে পুলিশ যে টহল ডিউটি করবে তার গাড়ি কই। একটি থানায় কমপক্ষে একটি পৌরসভা ও ৯ টি ইউনিয়ন থাকে, প্রত্যেক ইউনিয়ন ও পৌরসভায় একটি করে টহল গাড়ি দিলে প্রতি থানায় ১০ টি গাড়ি প্রয়োজন, অথচ দেশের কোন থানায় ২ টির বেশি টহল গাড়ি নাই। তদন্তে যাওয়া বা আসামী ধরার ক্ষেত্রে যে পরিমাণ খরচ হয় তা সরবরাহ করা হয়না। ৮ ঘন্টার ডিউটির কাছে ১৬ ঘন্টা ডিউটি করা লাগে। এসব বিষয় সমাধান করাটা বেশি জরুরি। সবচেয়ে বড় বিষয় স্বাধীন পুলিশ কমিশন করে পুলিশকে জবাবদিহিতার আওতায় আনা। কিন্তু আমরা শুধুই পোষাক পরিবর্তন নিয়েই বেশি ব্যস্ত।
