It was the day of Shakrain, the festival of lights, in Old Dhaka. The streets were abuzz with activity as people from all over the city came to celebrate. The aroma of traditional Bengali food wafted through the air, mixing with the sound of music and the chatter of excited voices.
The streets were decorated with colorful lights and lanterns, giving the whole area a magical and festive feel. Families and friends walked arm in arm, taking in the sights and sounds of the celebration. Children ran around with sparklers, their faces alight with excitement.
As the sun began to set, the streets became even more crowded as people made their way to the main stage for the evening's performances.
