This is my favourite pen I make, not your every day use pen more of a show piece. Fits nicely with the Knight Stand, perfect for the lovers of Dungeons and Dragons.

Spent the arvo in the workshop, knocked up a couple cheese cutting boards.
The light coloured timber is nice figured piece of Huon Pine, unfortunately I'm not sure what the second timber is as I inherited it.

The Huon Pine board hasn't had any finish applied to it yet but once it's applied it will pop.

Spent the afternoon making some "Jigsaw" piece drink coasters, decided to engrave them with the laser. Quite happy with how they turned out. Next step to try some with pictures on them.

Decided I needed a bit of down time this arvo, no better way to spend it than making a couple of pens.

The one on the left is Tasmanian Myrtle and the other is King Billy Pine also a Tasmanian timber.

I haven't made a pen in nearly 9 months so was good to get back on the lathe, I'll have to look into going to a few local markets and pedal my wares as they say.

With ANZAC day just around the corner I wanted to make something special to remember my great uncle, so I decided on a nice little candle shrine, laser engraved on a piece of Huon Pine, quite happy with how it turned out.

A young man named Dave bought a horse from a farmer for $250
The farmer agreed to deliver the horse the next day. The next day, the farmer drove up to Dave's house and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the horse died"
Dave replied, "Well, then just give me my money back"
The farmer said, "Can’t do that. I went and spent it already"
Dave said, "Ok, then, just bring me the dead horse"
The farmer asked, "What ya gonna do with him?"
Dave said, "I’m going to raffle him off"
The farmer said, "You can’t raffle off a dead horse!"
Dave said, "Sure I can, Watch me. I just won’t tell any body he’s dead"
A month Later, the farmer met up with Dave and asked, "What happened with that dead horse?"
Dave said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at five dollars a piece and made a profit of $2495"
The farmer said, "Didn’t anyone complain?"
Dave said, "Just the guy who won. So I gave him his five dollars back"
