Have you been using dry shampoo wrong? 👀

My biggest dry shampoo tip is to never apply it directly to your roots.

My kids would call me a ‘grandma’ because I’d end up with white roots every time 🤷‍♀️

Instead, try one of these:
✨ Cover your roots with your hands and sprinkle onto the hair
✨ Apply it with a makeup brush
✨ Sprinkle it directly onto your hairbrush and brush it through

And whatever you do… brush it through REALLY well. This helps distribute it evenly and gets rid of that dusty look.

Trust me, your hair (and your kids) will thank you later. Do you have any dry shampoo tips? 👇

One of my favourite ways to skip the dryer in colder weather ☀️🧦

These stainless steel sock hangers are one of those inventions that reduce your electricity bill & makes laundry day so much easier. They are also great for camping trips, caravans or tiny laundry spaces.

1. It has 36 rust proof pegs
2. Helps stop socks & un**es from flying away
3. Easy to move around to chase the winter sun
4. Perfect for camping, caravans & apartments
5. No brittle plastic pegs snapping, but rust-resistant instead
6. Lets your clothes dry naturally, even in cooler weather

This deserves more hype 🤣

Your thyroid is basically your body’s control centre for hormones, metabolism, energy… everything. And every day, we spray synthetic perfume on it.

But… what’s in “fragrance”?

I used to spray perfume on daily. Multiple times. I was obsessed with smelling ‘clean’.

Until I got pregnant…and suddenly one of my room diffusers made me feel nauseous.

I remember wrapping it up and popped under the sink but every time I got a whiff of it, it made me feel sick.

It is only many years later that I learned that “fragrance” isn’t one ingredient.
It can be a mix of thousands of chemicals (yep, up to 3,500 😳) including things linked to hormone disruption.

If you’ve ever felt off after smelling a perfume… you’re not imagining it.

And here’s the part that got me: brands don’t have to tell you what’s inside. It’s legally protected as a “trade secret.” 🤨

So that one word on a label is a cocktail of ingredients you’ll never see.

No thanks.

Keen to try out natural perfumes? These Viva la Body perfumes are all natural, Aussie-made pocket-sized & so loved by our community ❤️ xx

I use a free app called ‘UV Index’. I often think the UV is fine… and then I check and it surprises me.

Anything above 3, I wear sunscreen, no matter the season. It also takes the discussion away with my kids. Above 3 = sunscreen.

In this video I’m using all natural options:
1. Surf mud (natural zinc) on my face. Great for any sport or when you go surfing 🏄‍♀️
2. Sun Butter on my neck + body. It’s an SPF 50, 2h waterproof, reef-safe, all natural sunscreen that feels really good on the skin.

Just a little autumn reminder 🍂 x

I have a 'use me up' part in my fridge and it's so helpful. I put all the older fruit & veg in one spot so I can see what needs to be eaten first. Simple but effective way to stop wasting food & money 🥕.

Have you tried it? X

What if your festival food leftovers could help grow tomorrow’s food? 🤔

🌱 Seven tonnes of organic waste from Canberra's National Folk Festival is being turned into nutrient-rich fertiliser at Jillamatong Farm!

With up to 70 per cent of waste being organic, and 75 per cent of Aussie soils lacking nutrients, this simple shift is a game-changer.

Ready to find out how this waste is being turned into a resource and why it matters for our planet? 👉 Check out our latest Happy Earth News Blog here: https://goforzero.com.au/blogs/news/from-festival-waste-to-fertile-soil-the-circular-economy-we-ve-been-waiting-for

Laundry & kitchen reset… for free 🤍

It’s the last week of Earth Month & we are cleaning up some nasty ‘cleaning’ products!

✨ Stain remover stick: This one I use allll the time. Food stains, wine, blood, mystery marks… it just works.

And here’s the thing…most mainstream stain removers use fluorescent dyes meaning they coat, not clean!

Our natural stain remover stick actually removes the stain. Coconut-based soap lifts it & citrus cuts through it. It is one of our bestsellers for a reason.

One stick replaces a full bottle too 🙌

🧽 Dish cloth: I didn’t think I’d care this much about a cloth… but here we are 😂

It replaces up to 17 rolls of paper towel, absorbs everything, and my favourite part is that it dries SO fast.
Which means no smelly cloths (you know the ones).

Small swaps, but they add up.

All orders $100+ get them for fee + free shipping 🙌

Have you made any of these swaps yet? 🧼🧽👇

What does it take to swim for 90 days, cover 1,367km, and spend around 468 hours in the ocean? 🏊🏼‍♂️

For marathon swimmer Jono Ridler, it was all in the name of ocean protection and ending harmful practices like bottom trawling.

🌊 From the top of New Zealand’s North Island to Wellington Harbour, Ridler’s unassisted staged swim drew thousands of supporters and sparked national conversation about marine conservation.

With just 0.4 per cent of New Zealand’s vast maritime area currently protected, his journey highlights the urgent need for change. Along the way, he faced jellyfish stings, cold water and even shark sightings, all for a cleaner ocean future.

Ridler is heading to parliament on Wednesday the 29th of April to handover a petition calling for the New Zealand government to end bottom trawling.
