Thankfully these works don’t affect Bezzy Eldo however we are sharing them for all who live, work and visit Seymour.
OAK STREET BRIDGE WORKS
Dates: Monday 25 May – Monday 8 June
What to expect During Works: Unlike stage one, these works will require a full closure of the Oak Street bridge.
During the project:
The Oak Street bridge will be temporarily closed to all vehicles and pedestrians, including local traffic
Oak Street will also be temporarily closed between the Wimble Street roundabout and the Tarcombe Road/High Street railway level crossing, but will be accessible to local traffic
The Oak Street and Mentor Street intersection will be temporarily closed, but will be accessible to local traffic
The Oak Street and Abdallah Road intersection will be temporarily closed to all traffic
Drivers are asked to allow extra travel time and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signage
Signed detours for vehicles travelling through Seymour will be in place via Wimble Street, Anzac Avenue, Delatite Road, Tarcombe Road and High Street. A map of the detours is provided below.
Heavy vehicles are encouraged to avoid travelling through Seymour where possible and instead use the Hume Highway and Upper Goulburn Road.
Vehicles classed B-double and above, including oversize overmass (OSOM) vehicles, will not be able to use the detour within Seymour and must use the Hume Highway and Upper Goulburn Road.
