🎉 10 Years of E & J Winter – Bolton Scale Models 🎉
Ten years ago, I took a pretty big leap and bought E and J Winter – Bolton Scale Models.
What started from very humble beginnings has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of.
There have been plenty of challenges, plenty of long days (and nights!), a lot of learning along the way, and more than a few moments where I wondered what I had got myself into! 😂
But looking back over the last 10 years, it’s amazing to see just how far we’ve come, from those early days to our new showroom, a much bigger range, three employees, and a business that continues to grow.
And perhaps one of the most special parts of this milestone is looking at the old photo above.
That little boy in the photo, my son Samuel, turns 18 this week. Happy Birthday, Sam! ❤️
He’s grown up alongside the business, from being part of those early days to now being old enough to become part of its future.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported E and J Winter – Bolton Scale Models over the past 10 years, our customers, suppliers, friends, fellow model engineers and, of course, the wonderful people who have worked alongside me.
Ten years ago, I bought a business.
Today, I’m proud to be continuing a legacy that began with O. B. Bolton in 1922.
To think that the business has been part of the model engineering world for more than 100 years, and that I’ve now had the privilege of being its custodian for the past 10, is something I’m very proud of.
Here’s to the next chapter. 🔧🚂
