The last few months have been everything I dreamed of when this journey began. Years of planning, hard work and love have gone into creating something so special — healthy puppies, happy dogs and the most beautiful families.

Recieving photos of puppies like Polly, just remind me of how incredible dogs really are.

I have been completely blown away by the photos, videos and updates we have received. Every message means so much and reminds me why we do what we do.

Thank you to every family who has trusted us with one of our puppies. We feel so incredibly blessed.

We are going to have a bit of a relax now before we hopefully confirm our next two exciting litters:
• Posie’s micro mini Labradoodles
• Lucy’s mini multigenerational Cavoodles - hopefully our first Theodore's!

And we have two very special surprises joining us soon… with expressions of interest opening soon for two amazing guardian homes.

A very special going home for our beautiful Nala

Nala went home one day before her beautiful puppies. Watching her return to her guardian family filled our hearts with so much pride.

Guardian homes are such a special part of what we do. They allow our dogs to be loved as family pets while giving us the opportunity to continue building healthy, happy lines with puppies raised in loving homes.

We don’t just place a puppy and walk away — we are here every step of the way.

Whether it’s helping a family who is finding dog walking challenging, lending extra leads and equipment, supporting through little things like ear infections, helping with new foods, or even providing home-cooked meals when needed — we always try to be there however we can.

As a Cancerian, I’m naturally a nurturer, and I genuinely want to help our guardian families feel supported and confident raising their puppy.

Our guardian families become part of our extended Designer Oodles family, and we are so grateful for the love, time and commitment they give.

If you’ve ever considered becoming a guardian home, we would love to hear from you.

Designer Oodles of Adelaide at Douglas Hills

Many of you have already met Douglas, but today we wanted to share him happily settled into his guardian family and the story behind his special name.

Douglas is our future stud from our Daisy and Ted litter, and his name carries generations of meaning. Douglas is a family name from both my side and my husband’s side — a reminder that our dogs are part of a much bigger story.

Our MDBA prefix is Douglas Hills, and one day we hope to have a property carrying this name too. A place built around our family, our dogs, and the generations we are working towards.

Breeding has always been a journey of history and legacy for us. My grandmother was a breeder, my brother is a vet, and my own journey began with Labradors in 2004 before returning in 2018 with our first Cavoodle, Maggie.

Douglas is more than just a future stud… he is a little piece of our story and the next chapter of Douglas Hills. 🤍

🤎 Don’t tell your dreams… build them 🤎

This song felt pretty fitting watching Teddy, Polly, Murphy and Betty together.

Nearly 7 years ago I started dreaming about building something special with dogs.

What I didn’t realise then was how much this journey would change me.

Breeding has taught me patience, resilience, humility and that there is always more to learn. Every litter, every puppy, every decision teaches me something new.

The biggest lesson?

Breeding is not just about one beautiful litter of puppies.

It’s about generations.

It’s about the dogs behind them, the choices made years before they are born, health testing, temperament, structure and carefully deciding which dogs will help shape the future of your program.

The more I learn, the more I realise how much responsibility comes with breeding. These puppies aren’t just a moment in time — they are part of a much bigger picture.

Teddy, Polly, Murphy and Betty represent years of learning, dreaming, adapting and growing.

I’m so proud of how far Designer Oodles of Adelaide has come… and I’m even more excited about the generations still to come. 🤎🐾

I’m honestly not even kidding when I tell you how excited I am about Jupi being a potential sire in our program!

Jupi is an outside stud we have specifically sourced because of his genetics, size and the qualities we think he can bring into our lines. He’s a gorgeous 9kg deep red Cavoodle, and I really think he could be something special for us.

And now… only 3 weeks until we find out if Lucy and Jupi’s honeymoon was successful! The countdown is ON!

This pairing has so much potential — beautiful deep reds, black puppies, white markings, possible phantoms and hopefully some gorgeous mini, shaggy teddy-bear Cavoodles.

Most importantly, both dogs have been selected with health and genetics in mind, including DNA health screening and MMVD assessment, along with our other breeding health checks.

And yes… I’m already secretly hoping there’s a very special girl/boy in this litter. ❤️

Three weeks.

🏉 Friday night footy… a first for Milla. 🤎

New people, kids running around, whistles, cheering and plenty happening.

The more litters I raise, the more I realise that while socialisation is incredibly important, puppies also come with their own little personalities. Some naturally take it all in their stride, while others need a little more time.

After a short while, I realised being right in the middle of the action wasn't the best place for Posie and Milla. So we simply moved back closer to the car, popped them on a tether and let them watch from a distance.

It was calmer, more predictable and exactly what they needed. They were still taking everything in, just without feeling overwhelmed.

Sometimes socialisation isn't about getting closer. It's about finding the distance where your dog feels relaxed enough to learn.

For me, that's a success. Slow and mindful of our pups is far better than perfect every time. 🤎

🖤 Betty — 6 weeks old 🖤

Our gorgeous black Labradoodle girl from Nala and Loki’s litter.

There is just something about a classic black coat — timeless, shiny and so beautiful.

We have now had two little black Betty’s in our program, and it seems this name just belongs to these gorgeous girls.

She also reminds us a little of Lucy, our beautiful black Cavoodle who has been such a special part of our journey.

And for those who love a classic black coat… Lucy’s final litter may not be far away!
