I’m often out picking things after a day of teaching, or before school for that matter. But it gives me a chance to keep an eye on the kids if they are out riding their motor bikes through the rows or playing in their buggy.

This was why I planted the flower farm.
I wanted something that I could do along side them and I needed to do something to fill up the acres of dust and weeds!

Proteas are incredibly hardy plants. They cope well with the Riverland’s extreme temperatures and generally have very few pest or disease issues.

The only real challenge? Keeping the cockatoos away — they love them just as much as we do.

Just a note about orders for this week.

Flowers are available to order this week, and then from Monday (1st May) we are away on holidays for a few weeks.

The website will appear as ‘Sold out’ for this time. I will re-open orders when we return in a few weeks time. Keep an eye on my page for updates.
