18 months on from my 99% blockage… 🏄‍♂️

This week I went back to my cardiologist for my heart check, and he was really happy with all my results.

I’ve managed to keep the weight off and get my levels back to normal. Pretty happy with that!

It hasn’t all been easy. During this time I’ve also been working night shifts, getting home at 4:30am. That can take its toll on your body.

So if there’s one thing I’d like people to take from my story, it’s this: if you have concerns about your cholesterol or heart health, have a chat with your doctor about whether a coronary calcium score test is right for you. I had no idea I had a 99% blockage. It was nearly too late for me.

Find something you love, eat well and keep moving. For me, that’s surfing, keeping active and enjoying coffees with my wife.

The other thing I’ve added to my daily routine is PEMF Technology. I’m happy with my routine, and my cardiologist encouraged me to keep going. I can’t say what made the difference to my results, but I’m sharing my experience in case it gets someone else curious.

🏄‍♂️ Question time!

Are your weeks pretty much the same, or do they change all the time?

A lot of mine depends on the surf. My week starts on a Thursday, and this week I managed to squeeze in 2 surfs, a boxing session, a movie day with the wife, and hours of play with both little grommies. 😂❤️

Not a bad week really!

I reckon keeping your body moving is a lot easier when you do things you love.

For me, it’s surfing, boxing, family time and enjoying the little things.

If anyone body wants to buy a Big Surfboard, not ready for a Mal yet?

Vitality Wand

After losing a great member of our surfing community this week, it’s made me stop and take a breath and think about my own health.

Maybe it’s a good reminder for all of us.

Have a plan.
Get checked.
Find something you love.
Stay active.
Keep moving.

It was nearly too late for me, and I know how quickly things can change.

I’d much rather see you in the surf or over a coffee than see you at work.

🏄‍♂️ New board, new motivation

Anyone considering a new board — no better time than now.

Karl’s back from his 7-month stint in Bali, fresh and ready for your order. 🏄‍♂️

The motivation a new board gives you is gold.

Home at 4:30am from work, North Shelly no good, Pelican’s no good… but good old Frazer’s was definitely worth the look.

If it wasn’t for the new board, I probably wouldn’t have bothered checking out the other beaches.

And after losing a good friend this week, it’s another reminder that life is short.

Reward yourself. Get motivated. Keep moving.

Sometimes a new board can give you a whole new lease on life. 🏄‍♂️
