Today, we pause to remember.

On this Remembrance Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have fought for our freedom — past and present.

At 11am, we stop for one minute of silence to reflect on their bravery and the peace we enjoy today because of them.

I’ve officially stepped away from Jetts and the gym environment to focus more on what I’m passionate about—making fitness accessible and enjoyable for our senior community!

I now run Over 50s Move and Mobility Sessions twice a week from a local community centre. These sessions are designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility in a supportive and affordable way.

Meanwhile, Home Made by Danni is still very much active! I’ve just been a little busier with the PT side of things.

Today marks the International Day of People With Disabilities—an occasion I typically overlook because many fail to recognize the ABILITY in Disability, a perspective that irks me.

There are those who use their disability as an excuse, claiming, "I can't do that because I'm disabled." In reality, there's always a way if you have the will, even if it's not the conventional path.

Despite the disapproval of my humor and self-designations, they serve as my coping mechanism. By poking fun at myself, I build resilience against others' comments, enabling me to shrug them off and continue forward.

It's disheartening to witness adults ignoring curious children's questions about disabilities, choosing to walk away rather than engage.

Remember, never judge a person solely by their disability—seeing beyond it reveals a person's true complexity and richness.
