Dear customers, friends and supporters,
It has been a crazy year for most of us, but with big challenges come great things.
After touring around the world for the past year and working on amazing social projects, it has become even clearer to me how important my mission is. How the time spent on social media and chasing sales could be so much more impactful when spent working directly on these projects. That’s why I’ve decided to turn the page of this chapter, to start a fresh new one.
While this is the end of Shop for Purpose, it is definitely NOT the end of my mission. I’ll keep working towards finding THE sustainable business model that will have a real impact.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to all customers, friends and supporters of Shop for Purpose: YOU made this possible! THANK YOU for your support.

When travelling, it feels like we live in a parallelled world where time flies.

Feels like yesterday that we were in Guatemala with the lovely Oralia and Amparo, founders of a women's corporation founded in the 80's of artisan indigenous Mayan women victims of the war. They are represent women from 17 indigenous communities, all gathered to find ways to fairly commercialise the beautiful textiles they make. A unique skill passed from mother to daughter throughout generations!

It was so special teaching and learning with them. Experiencing their reality and do our very best to leave a meaningful positive impact.

We managed to leave an organised English program for the next plan starting in 2 weeks, and we launched the campaign to recruit sponsors for the next school year!

But the best part was getting to know them. It's not very easy to connect with teenagers, but once you do, it's an earned love. And you realise that all they want is to be loved and understood.

Aside of the workshop nights we have with the students from we also teach them English.

It has been very rewarding to see their progress and them getting more comfortable with us. In the first classes we could barely make them talk. They were so shy and afraid to say something wrong.

Today is exam day! I'm sure they are going to nail it!

Living and working with the students of has been a trip to my past. I've been reliving my teenage years through them. The hormones, puberty, wanting to look cool, be popular.

There's something special about working with teens, while challenging at times (as their attention span is half minute) in the end they just want to be loved, understood and have a good time.

This was our first workshop night with them. Game night! Musical chairs can never go wrong!

Aaaand that’s a WRAP! After 2 amazing weeks with The Naturalism School we said farewell to our now forever friends!

We left with our hearts full and with an action plan for them to continue thriving with their mission of empowering youth in the rural communities in Nicaragua. It was 2 weeks of exchange and lots of learning. From different kinds of workshop skills to capoeira and yoga. It was full on!

But most important was the impact we left - a motivated group to keep pursuing their mission.
