One of the questions we’re asked most often is, “Which flowers will last the longest?”

Like anything fresh, longevity has a lot to do with how your flowers are cared for. Think of a bag of spinach left in a hot car or sitting on the kitchen bench — it’s never going to fare as well as one popped straight into the fridge.

Flowers are much the same. A little care goes a long way. That said, there are a few varieties known for holding their own particularly well, even without too much fuss.

Here are a few of our long-lasting favourites ~

✿ FLOWER OF THE WEEK ✿ ~ SWEET WILLIAM aka GYPSY

A little wild, a little romantic, and full of old-world charm. It brings beautiful colour, delicate texture and the prettiest clustered blooms to an arrangement.

Fun facts:
• Sweet William belongs to the Dianthus family—the same family as carnations.

• Its botanical name is Dianthus barbatus.

• Each flower head is actually made up of clusters of tiny individual blooms, creating its signature full, textural look.

• Sweet William comes in an incredible mix of colours, from soft pinks and whites to deep reds, burgundy and bicolours.

• Many varieties have a subtle spicy, clove-like fragrance.

• In the language of flowers, Sweet William has traditionally been associated with gallantry and admiration.

• With proper care, it makes a beautiful and relatively long-lasting cut flower.

Sweet by name, even prettier by nature. ♡

Kinda chic, if you ask us. ♡

Because flowers have never been just flowers.

They’re thoughtfulness.
They’re celebration.
They’re “I saw this and thought of you.”

✿ FLOWER OF THE DAY ✿ ~WATTLE

Australia’s golden bloom has arrived, bringing all the sunshine and the sweetest hint that spring is just around the corner.

• Australia’s National Floral Emblem, symbolising resilience, unity and renewal.

• There are **1,000+ species** of wattle, with most found only in Australia.

• Those fluffy golden blooms aren’t petals at all—they’re tiny clusters of dozens of miniature flowers.

• Wattle is lightly fragrant, with a fresh, sweet honey-like perfume.

• Its bright yellow blooms are one of the first signs that winter is coming to an end.

• A little goes a long way—its soft texture and vibrant colour add warmth and movement to bouquets.

• Fresh wattle is beautifully seasonal, making it one of winter’s most anticipated blooms.

Available in-store while the season lasts.💛
