Ammolite is arguably the rarest gem in the world. Ammolite was first recognized as a gem in 1981 at the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) in Paris and was recently recognized as the Official Gemstone Of Alberta by the Alberta Provincial Government. It can only be found in a small area in Southern Alberta. The value has increased by 300% in the last decade alone and it continues to rise as the world becomes familiar with it's stunning beauty and rarity.

The gem is stabilized and polished. Then it is coated and sealed in the hardest and clearest jeweler epoxy available. These free form Ammolite pendants are well protected and very wearable. The wet look of the epoxy magnifies the light when it hits the gem and reveal stunning bright color. Where some artists are trusting a glued on bail, I don't. I insist on drilling through each of my gems. There are two posts on the .925 Sterling silver bails that are secured right through the gem and the whole piece is sealed for water resistance.
