What a day! 💜

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to TCG in the Valley yesterday, and to our amazing vendors who made it happen.

It was so good seeing both spaces buzzing with people buying, selling, trading, connecting and just enjoying the hobby. We’ve loved hearing how many of you found what you were looking for - and enjoyed all the food and everything else Swan Settlers Market has to offer!

This event is all about community, collecting and a fun family day out - and it only works because you support it. 🫶

And we’re doing it again…

🔥 SUNDAY 15 NOVEMBER 🔥
This time with the main Function Room + full Lane = more vendors, more variety, more to explore!

See you in November. LET’S GOOOOO! 🙌

Like a lot of us, Daniel and Jonny grew up watching Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon - collecting the cards, having absolutely no idea what they were doing with them, and apparently ruining a few that could’ve retired their parents. 🙃

Then an old collection resurfaced and the obsession started all over again.

Eventually they accumulated wayyyyy too many cards for two people, Jonny suggested they start vending, Matt came up with Amigo’s Binders… and here we are.

They now specialise in Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, with plans to add Digimon later this year.

For them though, it’s as much about the community as the shiny cardboard - the people they’ve met, the friendships they’ve made and being part of Perth’s growing TCG scene.

You’ll find Amigo’s Binders, along with plenty of your favourite Perth TCG vendors, at TCG in the Valley this Sunday.

If you could only keep ONE card from your entire collection… what would it be? 👀

When we asked Christian from PokeCollective this question, he admitted it wasn’t easy.

“First off, it was incredibly hard to just pick ONE card from what I currently have!”

But after giving it some thought, one card stood above the rest.

✨ Expedition Raichu, illustrated by the legendary Atsuko Nishida.

“I remember watching Pokémon as a child and Raichu has always stood out for me. The stars in this card are also why I chose it, being a huge lover of all things space related.”

It’s a great reminder that the cards we treasure most aren’t always the rarest or the most expensive. Sometimes they’re the ones that connect us to a childhood memory, a favourite Pokémon or simply something that speaks to who we are.

That’s one of the things we love about the TCG community. Every collection has a story.

💬 Now we’d love to hear yours…

If you could only keep ONE card from your entire collection, what would it be and why?

Drop it in the comments below! 👇

If you’re coming along to TCG in the Valley on Sunday 30 August, make sure you stop by and say hi to Christian. Whether you’re hunting for your next pickup or just want to chat Pokémon, he’ll be happy to share his passion for the hobby.

Meet Flower Collectables 🌸

Bryce first collected Pokémon as a kid, but it wasn’t until Bryce and Kate stumbled across a few TikTok rip & ships a couple of years ago that the hobby truly pulled them back in.

Their first booster box? Japanese 151 on a holiday to Melbourne… and pulling the Charizard SAR sealed the deal.

Today they’re a family-run business named after their three daughters - Rosie, Daisy and Lilly - who you’ll often see helping out at events.

Alongside sealed Pokémon, One Piece and Dragon Ball products, they’re also known for their popular Flower Dips and colourful Wheel Spin, making their stall a favourite for collectors of all ages.

What they love most, though, is the community.

“Everyone we’ve met has been so kind and generous. We’ve made great friends and had some amazing experiences.”

If you’re coming to TCG in the Valley, be sure to stop by and say hello - Bryce, Kate and the girls will be there to welcome you.

Why Swan Settlers Market? ❤️

When we started planning TCG in the Valley, we asked ourselves one simple question…

What if a trading card event could be more than just a trading card event?

We wanted it to be a meeting place.

A place where collectors could spend hours hunting for that one missing card, while everyone else in the family had just as much reason to come along.

No more…

“You’re going to a card show again?” 😅

Instead, it becomes…

“Let’s spend the day in the Swan Valley.” 🤗

That’s why we chose Swan Settlers Market as the permanent home of TCG in the Valley.

While we’re inside buying, selling, trading and connecting, there’s so much happening around us.

☕ Coffee and sweet treats

🌏 An International Food Hall with something for everyone

🛍️ Artisan stalls and local businesses

🥕 Fresh local produce

🍬 Swan Valley fudge and sweets

🎵 Live music

🛝 Indoor and outdoor playgrounds

🪓 Axe throwing

And it’s home to one business we especially love - Neurospicy Kidz - supporting neurodivergent children and families. Creating a welcoming community where everyone feels comfortable and included is something that’s really important to us, and we’re proud to call a venue with those values our home.

Whether you’re the collector, the partner who came along for the coffee, the kids looking for the playground, or grandparents enjoying a stroll through the markets, there’s genuinely something for everyone.

That’s what we hope TCG in the Valley becomes.

Not just another event…

A place where hobbies bring people together.

One of the things we love most about TCG in the Valley is getting to know the people behind the tables. Every vendor has a story, and we’re excited to introduce you to Elvan from RNGmart.

“I came back to collecting Pokémon with the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket in October 2024 after taking a long hiatus from trading cards after a traumatic experience (my Yu-Gi-Oh! deck was stolen the first day I brought it to school in Year 😎.”

Fast forward to today and Elvan is the face behind RNGmart – a TCG breaker on Twitch and YouTube, selling Pokémon, One Piece and Riftbound TCG at events across Perth.

If you spend five minutes chatting with him, you’ll quickly learn he’s a massive weeb.

“Pokémon started my journey into anime and I have been following One Piece religiously since 2006.”

When we asked about his personal collection, this answer made us smile.

“My personal collection is a big yellow goofball with flowing locks that match my own (Ampharos) and the Soul King (Brook). Yohohoho. Maybe it’s the hair? 🤔”

And when we asked what he loves most about the hobby, his answer perfectly captured what we’re trying to build at TCG in the Valley.

“The Perth TCG community is amazing. I love looking through and hearing about everyone’s collections, finding out favourite characters and chatting about lore, art and One Piece theories with other like-minded people.”

That’s exactly the kind of community we want TCG in the Valley to be.

Make sure you stop by and say hello to Elvan from RNGmart on Sunday 30 August. Whether you’re chasing Pokémon, One Piece or Riftbound, or just feel like chatting all things TCG, he’d love to meet you.

It all started with a simple idea. ❤️

To create a welcoming place where collectors could buy, sell, trade and connect.

A place where the hobby comes first. Where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re chasing your grail card, starting your very first collection or simply enjoying a day out with family and friends.

After the incredible support for our first event, we’re excited to be taking the next step.

We’re proud to be collaborating with Swan Settlers Market for TCG in the Valley 2.

When we first visited Swan Settlers Market, it just felt right.

It isn’t simply a venue - it’s a destination. Every weekend, people come to enjoy the permanent market stalls, local businesses, food, coffee and family-friendly experiences. It’s also home to community events like Anime in the Valley, making it a place where people naturally spend time together.

That’s exactly the sort of environment we want TCG in the Valley to be part of.

So this isn’t just another trading card event.

It’s an opportunity to support local vendors, discover new collectibles, buy, sell and trade with fellow collectors, then wander through the market, grab a coffee and enjoy everything the Swan Valley has to offer.

We’re also excited that the venue offers excellent mobile reception and Wi-Fi, making buying and selling smoother for both vendors and collectors throughout the day.

Thank you to Swan Settlers Market for believing in what we’re building. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the Valley.

See you on 30 August. ❤️
