Becoming parent teaches you many many lessons. Being one of the most important lessons I learn was that your little (or not so little) bundle of joy can quite often be very good at ensuring that your dirty washing pile is for ever growing. Most babies experience some form of 'vomiting' after a feed and 9 times out of 10 its own your shoulder.

Our Burp cloth can help ease the number of times you have to change your outfit. (lets face it they are always going to need changing).

This beautiful set went out to a very special young lady whom I get to be related to. Why not order your own custom set today.

For those that have been following my journey of the , it was a complete success. After a very long day and a half solid sewing it was completed. Well all except the buttons and button holes that is (read on I'll explain later).

I started stressing from the begining as I had to find a new pattern (1st one was way too big). The only pattern available was much more complicated than the original, but I pushed on.

Tracing the pattern and cutting took almost 3hrs. Yes I'm very slow and I had to do it twice as I decided the 1st one was still too big. (Obviously not very good at size matching lol). Everything went great day 1.

Day 2 took a turn no one wants when sewing. My machine started skipping stiches 😭. This is not what you want when under time pressures. Fixed this problem and pushed on again. . I managed to fit in making a bag for the assistant teacher before heading to a social function.

I returned to make the button holes and it wasn't just missing one which here and there it was masses of stiches which made it impossible to sew 😭😭. How was I going to finish the shirt. Hubby to the rescue with the idea to use snaps instead of buttons. So that's what we did and it was perfect.

It was finished! 🙌 myself and some other parents presented the gifts the teachers the very next morning. Both were very shocked and amazed with what had been created. The shirt was changed into and worn with pride.

Look at the fabric I have on my table today! This is super special fabric being made into a super special gift.

The 'test' turned out great but was WAY to big. Thank goodness I decided to have it tried on.

I've had to buy a completly new pattern as they didn't have the smaller sizes in stock. 😣 but now I'm ready to cut into this super funky one of a kind fabric.

When your feeling creative and can't get into the sewing room because you need to make dinner. What do you do? Get creative cooking (Yes I know it's a jar ). But it's Thursday night after a massive week at work. Creative does have it's limitations when your exhausted.

My biggest challenge to date is almost complete.
I've never made clothes before as quite frankly they scare me. So many peices to put together, instructions that can often require a engerining degree to decifer 🤓👩‍🏭👨‍🔬. Well so I thought anyway.
But in 2 days of sporadic sewing (2yr olds make sewing very unproductive) I have almost completed my first clothing item (only buttons to go). This isn't normally something that people would recommended to a beginner clothing sewer but I tackled it step by step and at my own pace and I've done it. 🤗
I've produced something that i super happy with, even my partner has said how fantastic a job I've done. 😎
Fingers crossed it fits 🤞.

I'm actually sewing today!!

For the 1st time in over 6mths I'm able to work on a Messy Me order. This is no normal MMC order though, it's for a very special man that has played a massive part in my son's first year at big school.

I don't know about everyone else but I never seem to have enough bibs on hand. Miss 2 insists on wearing one no matter what she is eat (guess it does mean her clothes stay clean for longer).

Dolly and Teddy are also very accustomed to wearing their bibs but still manage to end up dirtier than Miss 2 playing in the mud. Maybe I need to make some just for them.
