Some captures from Friday’s opening of the Art From Trash exhibition. It’s been so nice to be part of this great initiative with my Nutgrove Beach tapestry.

A really inspiring night surrounded by so many creative works made from recycled and discarded materials. I always love seeing the different ways people can transform everyday objects into something meaningful, thoughtful and beautiful.

Very grateful to everyone who came along, had a chat, and spent time with the work. ✨

In front of a piece that holds so much of where I live and create 🌿

This tapestry is inspired by the view from Nutgrove Beach, with Kunanyi always present in the background of my life here in Tasmania. I’m drawn to its shifting moods—soft one moment, dramatic the next—and I try to capture that through texture and tone.

Woven from discarded wool and clothing, each thread carries its own past into this landscape. A quiet way of bringing together place, memory, and material.

I’m hoping to submit this piece to the annual Art From Trash exhibition here in Hobart—so you might be able to see it in person soon if you live locally.

New remake of my small Walls of Jerusalem tapestry. 🧵 (Well not actually that small at 60x90cm 😅)

Inspired by one of Tasmania’s most beautiful wilderness areas 🏔️ , I wanted to capture the layered dolerite cliffs, alpine landscape, and that quiet feeling you get walking through the high country.

You might’ve been wondering where I’ve been lately. Well… I’ve been discovering my new favourite place on Earth 🙌🏼 .

I’m still here, but the last few months were all about preparing for the trip, then enjoying the trip, and finally coming back home… and recovering from it. Catching up on life, family and work.

The trip was to do something special for my sister’s birthday. We had the best time, even though we walked around 20,000 steps a day. We were exhausted, excited and happy all at once.

Japan is like no other place I’ve seen. I love everything about it, but most of all the people. From fashionable, elegant ladies on the train, to anime-inspired young girls, to everyday people who helped us along the way — like the waiter in a small local restaurant who served us delicious food, patiently answered our questions, yet would not accept a single cent in tips.

The city is filled with thousands of people, yet on the train there is silence — everyone observing the unspoken rules of respect, peace and harmony.

I love Tasmania — my other favourite place, which I’m lucky to call home — but I’m already counting the days until I can go back again. 🇯🇵

Hoping summer isn’t quite done with Tasmania yet.
☀️ 🌊 This tapestry depicts one of my favourite places — Park Beach at Dodges Ferry —
salt in the air, warm sand underfoot,
and those long, slow days that feel like they should last forever. I have made this design available in my Etsy store now but if interested you can also DM me.

An all-white leaf 🤍
Simple, calm, and all about texture.
No colour, just knots, light, and a quiet handmade feel.

Sometimes less really is enough. 🤍 🍃

A quiet moment before the making begins.
Soft coils of macramé rope 🧵 , resting in every shade I’m drawn to — each one holding the promise of knots, textures, and time spent with my hands.
Colour, fibre, patience, and intention, all waiting to be woven into something meaningful.
This is where the story starts 🤍 🪢 .

Throwback to one of my favourite creative projects 🌿✨
A few years back, after winning a competition, I had an incredible opportunity to design this timber floor mosaic — made from 48 different types of hardwood, most of them Tasmanian. Each piece was carefully crafted and assembled to bring my design to life, and seeing it completed was honestly one of those pinch-me moments.

I still feel so proud knowing this work will be there for decades — and hopefully centuries — to come, at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane, carrying a little piece of my creativity within it. 💛

Can’t wait to visit it again next time I’m up in warm Queensland! ☀️

Hello friends! It’s been a little while since I’ve shared my work here. Over the past few months, life has been a whirlwind—I spent time in my birth country Slovakia visiting family (and soaking in the beauty of home), then came back home to Tasmania to juggle work, family, and routine again.

Between my roles as an architect, an sustainability consultant, and being a mum to a pre-teen, it’s been busy! But my hands have been missing macramé, and I’m so excited to be creating again.

I’ve just started working on a beautiful large commission piece, and I’m now open for new orders. If you’ve been thinking about adding a unique macramé landscape to your space, I’d love to bring your vision to life.

Thank you for sticking around—I can’t wait to share what’s coming next! .
