Just over 18 years ago, in our beautiful home of Mandurah, Mr & Mrs Fisho said “I do” ❤️
Back then, we had absolutely no idea what life had in store for us. No idea that just one year later we’d start a little seafood business called The Fisho… and that it would completely shape our lives, our family and our future.
The crazy part?
Out of our entire relationship, we’ve only really known one year together without small business life attached to it. Since then it’s been early mornings, late nights, seafood deliveries, Christmas madness, Easter rushes, juggling family life and somehow building a business together in amongst it all 🐟
And honestly… we wouldn’t change it for the world.
This photo was taken on the Mandurah Estuary (Winjan Place for all of you Mandurah locals!) on our wedding day ❤️ Also, can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Mr Fisho actually had hair on his head back then 😂
Not long after becoming Mr & Mrs Fisho came our two beautiful girls ❤️
So while we’ve been building The Fisho over the last 17 years, we’ve also been raising our daughters alongside it all. They’ve grown up with early morning starts, market runs, seafood dinners, long factory days, packing seafood and all the chaos that comes with small business life.
Looking back now, it’s pretty wild to think how much life can change in 18 years. From two young newlyweds to building a small family business that has become such a huge part of our lives and identity.
Small business isn’t always easy. There’s sacrifices, stress, long hours and plenty of moments where you question yourself. But there’s also something incredibly special about building a life side by side with your best friend and serving the community you love.
To every single customer who has supported us over the years, thank you. Truly. Every person who chooses to shop local helps families like ours continue doing what we love 🥰
So if you’re thinking seafood this week, come say hello, support local and let our family help feed yours
