A few additions over the past week - some parts arrived today that we had run out of in the brick den.

Island coming along, helipad almost done so some extra visitors will be able to arrive soon!

Where have we been!!!

Well not where we would like to have been. Some real building projects on the actual residence have taken priority the last little while. But during this time there has been a few additions to 🩷 Fun Island.

Will be fun to create some extra story on the Island with our visitors from the swamp.

Now to build out the scenery.

A quick bit of sorting therapy this morning.

Kickstarting a new build this afternoon.

🏙️ SET REVIEW – LEGO® 76269 Marvel Avengers Tower

I built Avengers Tower just over 12 months ago while I was home following the birth of my son, so this set will always hold some pretty special memories.

It was a really enjoyable build, with plenty of detail and familiar Marvel moments throughout. There is some repetition as the tower gets taller, but watching it slowly take shape makes it worthwhile.

It is easily the tallest LEGO® set I have built so far and definitely has an impressive presence once completed.

Look forward to incorporating some story around this set that will sit close by the LEGO® 76178 Daily Bugle in the Bruce Bricks Shed City.

Looking forward to these!

Well, that was the first time building (and completing) a second hand Modular, and I am so thankful for the Bruce Bricks Brick Den that enabled me to complete this set.

The city needs some structural work before I can add it!

Stay tuned for the city series of posts coming soon.

Bought a second hand modular set in zip lock bags, it’s been an experience so far to say the least.

For those that are into Modular’s, take a guess at the set?

Thankfully the Bruce Bricks Brick Den has a few spares.

🐓 SET REVIEW – LEGO® Disney Heihei (43272)

Built and reviewed by Sissi 👁️

Heihei might not be the smartest Rooster in Disney… and this build stayed true to character! 😂 We were missing a couple of pieces along the way (which somehow feels fitting), but managed to improvise and get him finished.

The build itself was a lot of fun, although Sissi assures me it’s definitely more challenging when you’re building with long nails! 💅 There are a few interesting techniques throughout that keep things engaging, and once complete, Heihei has loads of personality. Whether you’re a Disney fan or just love quirky display pieces, this one is guaranteed to make you smile.

It’s not the biggest set in the range, but it’s colourful, expressive and instantly recognisable. A great addition alongside the other LEGO Disney character builds.

⭐ Build Experience: 4/5 (with nails on! 💅)
🖼️ Display Value: 5/5
⭐ Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)

Would you add Heihei to your collection, or is there another Disney character you’d love to see turned into a LEGO set?

🐱 SET REVIEW – LEGO® Disney Adorable Marie (43286)

Built and Reviewed by Ru🦘

“I was really excited to build Marie because she’s so cute!” 💗

There were a few parts that were a little bit repetitive, but Ru 🦘 still had lots of fun and finished it in a couple of hours. Her favourite pieces were all the pink ones, and she really liked seeing Marie come together as she built her.

Her favourite part of the whole set is the little purple jewellery box. It’s tiny, but she think it makes the set feel more special and gives Marie a bit more personality.

Marie will now have a spot on our shelf. If you like Disney or cute LEGO sets, we think you’ll really enjoy this one too!
