Fresh vs preserved β a closer look at Janet's blooms before and after.
The peonies were so fresh and full when they arrived, and they kept their white colour amazingly well through the drying process. Their structure and frills are so intricate, every layer held its shape.
The blush roses maintained their beautiful folds during silica drying, and those blushing bride proteas did what they always do β accentuated their pink tones, shifting from a white-green to pale pink leaves with red details. They almost look more striking after preservation than they did fresh.
Every flower tells you something different when it comes out of silica. That's the part I never get tired of.
