DID YOU KNOW? 🤔

Chemotherapy commonly affects patients mouths in life changing ways. Though these are often temporary, these symptoms can still be devastating.

✅ metallic taste
✅ mouth ulcers
✅ loss of taste
✅ dry mouth

In all of our chemotherapy care boxes we include a low-tox chewing gum to help reduce the discomfort of dry mouth. Along with they we include a soft toothbrush and mild mint toothpaste, so as not to irritate mouth ulcers and sore gums.

Sometimes there are simply no words… 💛

Today we were reminded just how incredible a simple gesture can be. When loved ones send our care boxes, they have the option to include a personal message and one that stood out to us today read: “Today I couldn’t find the words ..... so sent a gift.”

That message truly touched our hearts.

When someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer, it can be incredibly hard to know what to say or what to do. Our care boxes become a way to say I’m thinking of you, I’m here for you, and you’re not alone, even when the words are hard to find.

These care boxes really are the gift to give when there are no words. A meaningful gesture of love, support, and comfort during one of life’s most challenging moments.

Cancer doesn’t pause for the holidays.

Our care boxes continue to go out daily to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and to those who have recently received a diagnosis.

Christmas can be a difficult time when you’re facing cancer. While the rest of the world celebrates, your own world can feel very different.

If you’re spending this season with a loved one who is currently in treatment, has recently been diagnosed, or is navigating life after cancer, please know this: it’s okay if Christmas looks different this year. It’s okay if the traditions feel harder, or if the joy feels a little out of reach. This time can be challenging to navigate.

To all those receiving our care packs over Christmas, we understand. We’ve walked this path ourselves. We are holding you in our hearts and sending you strength, courage, and comfort.
