OCULUS GUITARS - Heritage Classic range.

The "SOL Fuzz" — our tribute to the golden era of legacy transistor fuzz, reimagined through the Oculus design lens.

The SOL draws from the legacy of classic Fuzz Face / Sun Face-style circuit DNA, but more importantly from the boutique philosophy behind builders like Mike Piera of Analog Man: careful transistor selection, dialled in bias sensitivity, dynamic feel under the fingers, and the belief that a great fuzz is more than a schematic — it is a living interaction between guitar, circuit, amp, and player.

The sound is raw, expressive, rich and harmonically alive: warm vintage bloom, singing sustain, surgical cleanup from the guitar volume interaction, and the ability to move from softer germanium-style response into a tighter, more immediate silicon edge via the "GE / Si voice toggle".

A side-mounted 6-position DIP bank expands the tone shaping capacity within the circuit further, offering deeper control over bias feel, input response, gain range, output push, sag, and the overall clipping character. Davies 1400 k***s in gorgeous Oxblood finish complement the Antique Bronze/Gold powder coated aluminium enclosure.

This is not a generic fuzz box, and it is not intended as a straight clone. The SOL has been developed as a boutique-grade transistor platform: carefully voiced, component-conscious, visually distinct and meticulous in design, and built to work in synergy with touch, pickup choice, volume-knob control, and amp interaction.

Vintage fuzz lineage. Modern Boutique ex*****on. "The Alchemy of The SOL."

As a luthier, i really love the hardwood head cabinet with gorgeous figured pieces used in its design and construction (something that goes beyond the common fingerjointed ply and tolex upholstery).

The work of the late and great Ken Fischer.

Oculus Guitars — 5879 Head

Introducing our developing and new amplifier platform built around the unmistakable character of the 5879 pentode — a front-end tube chosen for its harmonic complexity, fast touch response, glassy edge, and rich texture under gain.

The 5879 Head is our flagship amplifier designed with a boutique EL34 power section in a more modern platform: articulate, aggressive, and authoritative, but still full of life and classic voices that will be familiar. The voicing direction draws inspiration from the tightness, punch, and modern gain discipline associated with world class builders like Friedman and Mike Fortin, while also taking cues from the chime, harmonic richness, and tube-forward design philosophy associated with the great Mike Zaite / Dr. Z.

At the core is a 5879 pentode preamp feeding a fixed-bias EL34 push-pull output section, with oversized “big iron” transformers chosen for strong low-end control, dimensional harmonic response, and a firmer, more commanding feel. This transformer philosophy is central to the amp: more headroom, better bass authority, stronger transient response, and the kind of composure that lets the amp stay powerful without becoming stiff or sterile.
The goal is a voice that feels large, immediate, and harmonically alive — tight where it needs to be, but never flat. The low end stays controlled under gain, the mids remain vocal and muscular, and the top end carries chime, cut, and harmonic sparkle without becoming brittle.

The 5879's signature is voiced around two distinct gain eras:

ERA 1 mode is the open, articulate modded boutique marshall-esque rock voice — rich upper harmonics, vocal midrange, vintage-inspired bite, and enough bloom to keep chords dimensional. This side gravitates away from the more familiar 12ax7 triode preamp most common in an EL34 driven amplifier, and leans right into the 5879’s natural pentode chime and harmonic movement, with a more organic response and massive amounts of articulation in the midrange under the fingers.

ERA 2 mode pushes the platform further into a tighter and more aggressive modern voice — more saturation, firmer low-end tracking, faster attack, and a more percussive response and surgical "thump" for heavier rhythm playing and modern genres. The goal is a modern, high-authority gain structure with clarity: dense and aggressive, but not smeared, fizzy, or over-compressed.

The control set is designed around a full Bass / Mid / Treble classic (TMB) EQ, added Presence, Depth, and Post Phase Inversion Master Volume (PPIMV), and our signature front-panel "Era switching", with a rear-panel 3-way NFB control for Lo / Mid / Hi feedback response and distinct 3 in 1 amp voicing. That NFB switch alone is intended to shift the entire feel of the power section and allows tonal shaping between: looser and more open, more balanced and classic, or tighter, percussive low end and more controlled surgical response depending on the player, the speaker, the cab, and wether you want modern or vintage feel while factoring in stage volume.

A buffered effects loop is also part of the design direction, keeping the amp practical for modern pedalboards, delay, modulation, and time-based effects without compromising the core tube voice.

Visually, the 5879 Head is being designed as a boutique statement piece: each unit is handbuilt with real handcrafted premium hardwood head cabinet options, custom brushed aluminium control panels, custom chassis, custom Oculus badging, a range of custom grille variations, and a subtle internal LED glow from within the cabinet.

We also had to opt for custom and purpose built Output and Power transformers to facilitate this unique combination of tubes and to achieve the overall voicing "architecture" we desired.

The flagship Oculus Guitars 5879 Head is currently sound and electrically designed, it is currently being scaled and prepared for manufacturing and is well and truly in development with a launch set for late 2026 or early-mid 2027.

The RAGNAROK is Oculus Guitars take on the iconic German engineered modern high-gain preamp voice: a crushing, articulate distortion engine with DNA inspired by the legendary Diezel VH4, condensed into a pedal format without losing the authority, aggression, or control that made the original amp a modern classic.

At its core, the RAGNAROK is about precision under gain. It delivers the tight low end, focused upper-mid grind, and saturated harmonic density that define the VH4-style sound, but in a format built for pedalboards, recording setups, and players who want that unmistakable amp-like response without a full head and cabinet rig. This is not loose, fuzzy, or overly compressed distortion. Ragnarok is tuned for clarity, impact, and structure — the kind of gain that stays coherent through palm-muted riffing, complex chord voicings, and fast articulate lead work.

The voice is unapologetically modern, but not sterile. Expect a firm, percussive attack, deep controlled lows, aggressive yet polished mids, and enough top-end cut to sit forward in a mix without collapsing into fizzy harshness. The gain character is thick and saturated, but the note separation remains intact, giving Ragnarok that signature amp channel feel rather than the flatter texture of a conventional distortion box.

But the RAGNAROK is not limited to use as a front-end drive pedal. Its in-built PREAMP OUT functionality makes it equally at home as a serious and compact standalone preamp, allowing it to be used in more diverse ways and in various rig applications — straight into a power amp, into the effects return of an amplifier, or as part of a direct/recording-based setup with cabinet simulation or IR loading downstream. In this context, the RAGNAROK becomes more than a gain stage in a pedal: it acts as the core voice of your rig, delivering the feel and tonal identity of a dedicated and expensive high-gain boutique amp in a far more compact and economic format.

That flexibility makes the RAGNAROK especially useful for players. Run it into the front of a clean amp for a powerful VH4-inspired distortion voice, or use the preamp out in an FX loop to convert any amp into a monster.

The RAGNAROK is our take on the iconic German engineered modern high-gain preamp voice: a crushing, articulate distortion engine with DNA inspired by the legendary Diezel VH4, condensed into a pedal format without losing the authority, aggression, or control that made the original amp a modern classic.

At its core, the RAGNAROK is about precision under gain.

That flexibility makes the RAGNAROK especially useful for players who want multiple deployment options. Run it into the front of a clean amp for a powerful VH4-inspired distortion voice, or use the preamp output in a more amp-like signal chain when you want the RAGNAROK itself to provide the primary tonal foundation. This makes it a highly practical tool for live rigs, FRFR, silent monitoring onstages, studio recording, compact fly rigs, and pedalboard-based ampless setups where consistency, portability, and a convincing preamp response matter.

Like the best VH4-inspired designs, the RAGNAROK’s strength is in the way it balances weight and definition. The low end feels powerful and authoritative, but stays disciplined. The midrange carries the snarling, vocal quality needed for heavy rhythm work and soaring leads. The highs are present and sharp enough to bite, yet voiced to avoid the brittle edge that often plagues lesser high-gain pedals. The result is a distortion/preamp pedal that feels equally at home in modern metal, industrial, hard rock, progressive rhythm work, and articulate lead playing.

The RAGNAROK is designed for players who want more than just “high gain.” It is for those chasing the studio-tight, mix-ready punch of a premium amp preamp circuit — the kind of sound that feels immediate under the fingers, tracks fast, and holds together even under extreme saturation. Whether used as a pedal into a clean amp or as the front end of a more dedicated preamp-based rig, Ragnarok is built to deliver the commanding response and unmistakable tonal identity of a serious German high-gain platform.

MASSIVE. CONTROLLED. SURGICAL.
The RAGNAROK channels the essence of the VH4-style DNA into a compact format: tight chugs, searing sustain, aggressive harmonic texture, surgical midrange tightness and unmistakable precision.

THE RELIQUARY

The Oculus "Reliquary" is a premium harmonic overdrive built for players who want more than a single fixed gain voice.
At its core, The Reliquary delivers articulate breakup, rich harmonic bloom, and a touch-sensitive response that moves naturally from low-gain enhancement to thicker, more expressive drive. It is voiced to preserve note separation, keep chords open, and give single notes a smooth, singing quality without sacrificing attack.

What makes The Reliquary especially compelling is the depth of its voicing architecture. The external clipping toggle moves between stock MOSFET clipping and LED clipping, giving the pedal two distinctly different gain textures on demand — from the tighter, more familiar authority of the stock voice to the more open, bold, and dynamically assertive character of LED clipping.
Internally, dedicated DIP switching expands the circuit even further.

The Reliquary’s voicing network allows the player to introduce Germanium diodes into the clipping structure, add a hi-cut option ahead of the clipping stage, increase bass content and low end before clipping, and reshape the mids and overall tone response. In practical use, that means the pedal can be tailored toward tighter and leaner settings, fuller and broader low-end push, sweeter germanium-inflected more "vintage" style compression, or be pushed into a more forward and saturated mid character depending on the rig, the style and the player.

The germanium options are a major part of the pedal’s identity. Rather than offering a generic clipping swap, the circuit allows for multiple relationships between MOSFET and germanium clipping — including stock MOSFET-only response, asymmetrical germanium/MOSFET combinations, and richer germanium-forward variations. Paired with the LED clipping mode, this gives The Reliquary a far wider gain vocabulary than a standard overdrive.

The result is a boutique drive pedal that can move from polished always-on enhancement to harmonically dense, expressive overdrive with real personality — dynamic under the fingers, adaptable to different amps and pickups, and rewarding to dial in.

Each Reliquary edition will be released in tightly limited batches of just 25 units, with every pedal individually batch-numbered as part of the run. Available in "Ignis", "Lapis", "Verdant", "Amethyst", and "Aureate" editions, each release is intended as a true collector-grade production rather than an open-ended standard production model.

♠ Ignis Edition
The fire-blooded Reliquary. Ignis is the deep red edition — dramatic, rich, and ceremonial in character, with the most overtly heated and relic-like visual identity of the range.

♥ Lapis Edition
The royal blue edition. Lapis leans into a cooler, more regal cathedral aesthetic, evoking sacred stone, midnight glass, and a more austere, noble presence.

♦ Verdant Edition
The emerald edition. Verdant carries a deeper alchemical and antique feel, pairing rich green tones with a sense of aged ornament, oxidised grandeur, and old-world mystique.

♣ Amethyst Edition
The violet edition. Amethyst is the most arcane and esoteric of the range, with a more clandestine mystique that suits the more "occult" side of The Reliquary’s visual identity.

♠ Aureate Edition
The warm amber edition. Aureate is the most gilded and luminous version, drawing most strongly on royal heraldry, candlelight, gold leaf, and the classic glow of royal coronets infused into the cathedral stained glass.
Finished with gothic/baroque cathedral-inspired detailing and a real handcrafted 3D stained-glass rose window model as an enclosure centerpiece, The Reliquary is built as both a serious sonic tool and each unit, a collector-grade object.

🔴 - URSUS MK IV - 🎛

In the fog of past war, a prototype high-gain circuit was intercepted somewhere near the Arctic passage via the Alaskan/Soviet peninsula.
..It never made it back.
What resurfaced years later wasn’t the original blueprint — it was re-engineered, reinforced. revoiced. A boutique design Militarised and Bastardised by the most radical Soviet minds behind the Iron Curtain.

The URSUS MK IV draws inspiration from one of the most iconic Canadian modern high-gain amplifier voices — tight, articulate, and surgically aggressive — the URSUS MK IV rebuilds the famous "Red Channel" with a Cold War "military-industrial tech" flair.

The result:
• Crushing, controlled low-end
• Focused midrange authority that cuts without harshness
• Razor-defined top end that stays articulate under saturation
• A Character toggle for shifting between tactical voicings
• High-gain saturation that remains disciplined, never flubby

This is precision distortion.
Forged in red.
Stamped and classified.
Built with boutique studio-grade audio components for modern high-gain operations.
Inspired by the signature Growl.
