🪴Pots || Flashback!

Remember those 'Starry Night' inspired earrings? Here’s a flash back!✨

I create my pots through several steps: rolling out the clay, baking it, painting the soil, planting the greenery, knotting then adding the macramé and finally their metal fastenings.

This design further challenged me to use my tools to carve intricate swirls, purposeful markings and create a brush-stroke like texture.

When finished, the soft carved versions were placed in the oven to bake and harden, ready for the next part of their transformative process. Bringing out my pallet, I was in my zone matching colours and applying tiny brush strokes and detailing. The paint really took my miniature artworks to the next level! 🎨

The outcome? Earrings full of intricate details reminiscent of Van Gogh's masterpiece. Needless to say, they found a cherished place in their owner's heart! (And on their ears!) 👂🏼🪴

A furry friend decided to critique my earrings... one bite at a time! 🙈

Challenge accepted! 🎨💫

I enjoyed recreating and colour matching the (non chewed) partner of this pair. Acrylic paint is a medium I’ve always worked well with! Both earrings have been given new life, with a macrame freshen up and are ready to go back to their owner👌🏼.
