Easter long weekend we decided to escape the masses and do something different, so we packed up the car and the dogs and headed 9 hours west to the beautiful

We were so surprised by how lush and green it was out there after the recent rains and flooding and it was incredible to see the outback in all its green glory.

Charlotte Plains, a remote cattle station and its numerous artesian baths and history did not disappoint. We indulged in hot sunrise and sunset baths, we even managed to witness the spectacle of the meteorite that hit near Stanthorpe burn its way through the atmosphere as we sat in the private outdoor baths we had booked that evening—an out of it experience given how uninterrupted the view of the sky is without the usual light pollution you get in more built up areas. We also enjoyed the self guided tour of the property and its history. It is dog friendly and the staff made us and Dusty and Luna feel very welcome.

Such a great place to escape to if you want to get away from the ‘busy’ness and enjoy some of the diversity this beautiful country has to offer. Can’t wait to do it again!
