He certainly scrubbed up nicely🥰. Makes a really nice repaint I think. This guy was prepped with Gesso and flat white, then airbrushed in acrylics with hand detailing. Once upon a time (we’re talking decades ago 😂) this was my signature colour, ginger flaxen chestnut. The customs (proper customs: painted, haired, repositioned, resculpted) that ended up in variations of this hue 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Barad-Dur, Baradakas and Malik es Shams spring to mind and that’s just the top of the iceberg 😉.

Working away on sales pieces for the new year. Get these two repaints finished before I start the next two. So I’m thinking, (for those that are interested), as only 20-odd people made it over here from the almost 100 on the old group, that first dibs are looking pretty good 😉.

Just checking out another batch of WIP. The stablemates need to be finished painting; the others need more cuts or fills, they’re all head swap/hybrid customs so will be WIP for an age😂. The Arab customs are all for my own (almost non-existent) collection.

At a good stopping point for today. On the left, 2 Breyer Paddock Pals (which are actually Classics so that’s all wrong to us oldies😂) 2 Schleichs snd a Collecta foal, seams and logos filled and drying. On the right are 2 Collectas, 2 Schleichs and a WIA who’ve already been through that process as well as been sanded and are finally finished with the gesso and undercoat stage☺️.
