It must be eternity ring season. Another beautiful example to share.
Here we have east/west placed 5 x 3 oval ombre green Central Queensland sapphires from our friends paired with lab created 3mm round brilliant diamonds.
The ring was handmade by Chris in a mix of recycled platinum (claws) and recycled 18 carat yellow gold as a nod to the engagement ring we made a few years ago (pictured).
Such a pretty piece with fabulous finger presence. We love this one! Thank you so much to our wonderful customer for sharing the hand shot.

We really do have the best customers!
Congratulations to another lovely couple. I'll let their smiles speak for themselves for now and share the ring details in another post.
However I will say that I was thrilled to be able to work with another fabulous vintage diamond from the wonderful folks at .bling A stunning old European cut vintage diamond with some sweet little Montana sapphires.

A little bit of fabulous to start 2025! This magnificent engagement ring features a stunning 2.56 carat lab created VVS2 clarity Asscher cut diamond - around 7.5mm. It is flanked by two gorgeous 5 x 3mm pear lab diamonds.
The ring was handmade for us by our wonderful Chris in recycled 18 carat yellow gold.

Handmade for us by Chris. This beautiful statement ring is set with a dazzling D colour VVS2 ideal cut (third party certified) sustainably grown 1.05 carat round brilliant cut lab diamond.

Will start back with this cutie made for us by Ferdinand, it features a 5.6mm parti sapphire from Tomahawk Creek in NSW. 6 x 1.5mm Argyle diamonds (yes, we still have a few left even though the mine is closed). The ring was handmade in recycled palladium. Something we don't tend to work with much these days as it has increased drastically in price.
Like all of our pieces, this was a custom order and is not for sale. To recreate something like this in recycled platinum, you could expect to pay from $4600. With lab diamonds instead, from $4350. You could also pay a similar price for a lab diamond centre.

Wedding season is right around the corner! We've been busy getting rings ready for many of our lovely couples. Whilst classic styles tend to be the most popular, we do get to play around with texture and detail at times as well.
For this couple we have a heavy, beaten textured wedding band for him that is 6mm wide and a 3mm lab diamond set with beads and rails for her.
Both were handmade in recycled platinum by Chris. The beaten wedder is thicker than usual at 1.8mm and the diamond wedder features 24 x 1.3mm RBC lab created diamonds.
As usual, they are custom orders and are not available for sale. If you would like to create something similar, expect to pay from $2200 - $2400 for the 6mm band (covers most standard finger sizes) and $1650 for the diamond set wedder.

Another gorgeous ring to share. And congratulations to a fabulous couple who have now both exchanged engagement rings.
This is also an example of the effect of engraving. Most slides are a before and after. The ring went from modern to vintage with some artfully placed milgrain and other engraved detail.
Here we have a padparadscha coloured lab sapphires and lab emeralds from the folks the centre gem is an 8 x 6mm oval with 6 x 1.5mm emeralds in the sides. The ring was handmade for us by Chris in recycled nine carat yellow gold and engraved by Duncan.
As usual, our jewellery is made to order and is not available for sale. However, we can make your own version of this, or any other design that you may have in mind. As is, this one would be around $3700 for the same materials. Price would increase for different metals.

And now the set is complete. Complementary wedding rings, with co-ordinating earrings. A bit of each in each. Such a fun thing to do!
Each of the handmade semi hoop earrings has been set with fair trade gems and engraved with a pattern to match each of the couple's wedding rings.
A very sweet tribute to wear on their wedding day and beyond. Like the wedding rings, the earrings were handmade by Chris in recycled platinum. They are set with fair trade orange and blue sapphires from and were hand engraved by Duncan.
Like all of our pieces, these were a custom order and are not available for sale. However, if you would like something like this for yourself or a loved one, expect to pay around $2400. The rings were $2330 - $2500 for the narrower leaf engraved option and $2800 - $3100 for the wider band with the engraved line.
More people are choosing wedding rings only. Sometimes, regular classic bands and other times more elaborate, or wider, decorated options. Or even a single gem or diamond set band. Either way, it is a way to use a ring budget well.

What a difference engraving makes to the vibe of a ring. This lovely gemset pair was finished off with some hand engraving.

The narrower band is 5mm wide and 1.6mm thick with 1.75mm NSW blue sapphires (x 6) and USA (Montana) orange sapphires(x 2). The band is engraved with a leaf pattern. Something similar to this expect to pay $2300 - $2500 depending on your finger size.
The wider is 7mm/1.6mm with 2.25mm NSW blue sapphires (x 2) and USA orange sapphires (x 6). The ring is engraved with a line that matches the curves in the leaf ring. To replicate this ring, expect to pay $2800 - $3100.
It is a an investment, but it is a great choice for those who only want to wear one ring.

The next item in the 'before' of the series is a pair of earrings. These recycled platinum beauties were handmade for us by Chris. Each was set with an array of fair trade gems to match one of each wedding ring.

Today we have the first of several in a series. This wedding ring set is shown pre-engraving. Not only that, there is another jewellery item that is going along with it that incorporates elements of both rings.
For now, we have (from Chris' bench) two handmade recycled platinum wedding bands. Both are set with fair trade gems supplied by our wonderful friends the orange sapphires are from Montana in the US and the blues from NSW. For him, we have six orange and two blue (all 2.25mm) in a 7mm band and for her six blue and two orange (all 1.75mm) set into a 5mm band.
As this is the beginning of three posts, I will save the pricing details for the finished pieces.
