We’ve made your market day even better! 🛍️ The food area at Akoonah Park now has brand-new shade sails over our table and seating space. That means more comfort, more time to relax, and more enjoyment while you tuck into your favourite market bites.
Make sure you come along and check them out. They look absolutely fabulous!

We have recently installed 3 fitness pods along the walking track that follows the creek from bridge to bridge. This equipment is intended for strength training as you are already getting aerobic exercise while walking or jogging.
While you’re enjoying your walk or exercise make sure you check out the lovely novelty bollards along the walking track designed and painted by our resident SECAN arts group. The arts group are always running exhibitions and conduct schools, drop in when out for your walk or after going to the market on Sunday and see what they have to offer.

The 1st Casey Scouts that call Akoonah Park their home will be doing a clean up of the park and surrounds on Australia Day Sunday 2nd March.
It is open to families as well as the kids themselves to do a community service.
If you would like to be involved in this great initiative go to Clean Up Australia and register.

The bridge upgrade has been completed by the City of Casey and it is now open for pedestrians to cross. Thank you for your support while this was completed.

Just a gentle reminder that not all people enjoying our park enjoy dogs running up to them. If your dog does not come back to you immediately when called, best put it on a lead when you see someone approaching. Test your dog at home when it is distracted by something and see how willing it is to come back to you because its when they are distracted that you find out how willing they are to obey. Thanking you for your cooperation. 🐶😊
