UAE National Day ❤️

The launch of the UAE began with the consensus of the rulers of the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm al-Quwain in the second of December 1971 and their agreement to unite. The approved interim constitution regulated the state and determined its goals. On the tenth of February 1972, it was announced that the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah was joining the Union to complete the seven Emirates held in a single entity.

In 1968, Britain declared its willingness to withdraw from all protectorates and colonies of the Eastern Mediterranean, the idea of the Union begun to crystallize at a meeting between Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in the village of Samih border on February 18, 1968 and they agreed that the best way is the union between them and invite the Gulf emirates to this union. The UAE does not celebrate any independence day represented by the British declaration of withdrawing from the area in 1968, it celebrates a union day that happened three years after in the second of December 1971.

Emirates federal constitution approved in principle on the evening of December 1, 1971. The next morning, on December 2, 1971, met seven emirates rulers in the hostel in Dubai. And it approved four of the rulers of the Emirates Post Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the Union while RAK Ruler did not agree at the time. Signed Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and the rulers of Ajman on donors legitimate constitution for the Union, including independence from Britain. Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi went out - Sheikh Zayed adviser, was appointed a foreign minister in the first cabinet formation of the state - to announce to the media for the Union. And raising the flag of the State in a hostel in Dubai, which is known today as the "House of the Union". and Sheikh Zayed was elected president of the union, and Sheikh Rashid as Vice President of the UAE.

عيد الاتحاد الإماراتي

هو اليوم الذي تحتفل فيه الإمارات العربية المتحدة من كل سنة في الثاني من ديسمبر وذلك احياء لذكرى الاتحاد بين الإمارت السبعة مكونة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في سنة 1971م، حيث اجتمع حكام إمارة أبو ظبي، وأم القيوين، والفجيرة، ودبي، والشارقة، وعجمان في قصر الضيافة في دبي، وتم الاجتماع على الاتحاد فيما بينهم ليعلنوا بعد ذلك الانطلاقة التاريخية لهذا الاتحاد، في حين لم يوافق حاكم رأس الخيمة على الانضمام للاتحاد، وتم الاتفاق على إنشاء دستور مؤقت لتنظيم الدولة وتسيير أمورها، وخرج أحمد خليفة السويدي والذي تم تعيينه وزيراً للخارجية ليُعلن أمام رجال الإعلام عن قيام الاتحاد، وتم رفع علم الاتحاد في قصر الضيافة والذي سُمي فيما بعد باسم بيت الاتحاد، وفي العام التالي انضمت الإمارة السابعة وهي إمارة رأس الخيمة لهذا الاتحاد في العام 1972م ليكتمل الاتحاد بين الإمارات السبعة
جميعها.

اتحاد واستقلال الإمارات

عندما أعلنت بريطانيا عام 1968م رغبتها في الانسحاب من مستعمراتها الموجودة في الشرق المتوسط، عرف أن ذلك سوف يؤدّي إلى إحداث خلل سياسيّ واستراتيجيّ في المنطقة التي سوف تنسحب منها، ومن أجل تفادي هذا الخلل تمّ عقد اجتماع بين كلّ من الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، والشيخ راشد بن سعيد آل مكتوم، فقد تبلورت لديهما فكرة قيام الاتحاد بين الإمارات السبعة بالإضافة إلى قطر والبحرين، ولكن المحاولات فشلت فقد أعلنت كلّ من قطر والبحرين سيادتهما واستقلاليهما، ولكن من جديد كلفا المستشار القانوني عدي البيطار بكتابة الدستور وعلى أن تتمّ دعوة الحكام للاجتماع عند إتمامه فإن شاؤوا انضموا.

UAE Commemoration Day / 30 NOV 2017

Commemoration Day will be marked annually on November 30 in the United Arab Emirates, recognising the sacrifices and dedication of Emirati martyrs who have given their life in the UAE and abroad in the field of civil, military and humanitarian service.

The first Emirati soldier to die in the line of duty was Salem Suhail bin Khamis, on November 30, 1971, during the "battle of the Greater Tunb” against Iranian forces shortly before the UAE’s formation. Bin Khamis led a six-member police force on Greater Tunb, invaded by Iran on the eve of Federation. He refused to lower the flag of Ras Al Khaimah, and the invaders killed him for his defiance.

On August 19, 2015, it was announced that 30 November would be observed as Martyrs Day.
