Every November 1st, we celebrate World Vegan Day - a day to reflect on the importance of choosing compassion over cruelty. The products we use in our daily lives have real stories behind them, and today, we're shedding light on the animals whose lives are often treated as mere commodities.

🐄 Leather and the Cow:
Leather goods might look stylish, but behind every pair of shoes or handbag is a life cut short. Cows endure a lifetime of suffering, cramped spaces, and inhumane conditions before becoming products.

🦢 Goose and Feathers:
The down in your duvet or pillows was once part of a magnificent goose's plumage. These birds are often live-plucked or force-fed for foie gras. Imagine the pain and suffering they endure for our comfort.

🐛 Silk and the Silkworm:
Silkworms are boiled alive in their cocoons to produce that luxurious silk fabric. Their lives are sacrificed for fashion. Choose cruelty-free alternatives.

🐑 Sheep and Wooly Jumpers:
Sheep provide us with wool for cozy sweaters and blankets. However, many endure shearing practices that harm them, both physically and mentally. It's time to support ethical and sustainable options.

Yesterday marks my Birthday and my 9th year living a vegan lifestyle. I honestly just wished I had made the change sooner. I've never found it difficult or felt like I was missing out. If anything it has just broadened my options and I've got to try many more amazing foods that previously I would not have tried. 

Celebrating 9 years vegan this weekend over our 3 day market .distrikt.
