Released in 1991, this 61-key workstation was the successor to Korg’s classic M1 keyboard, and uses a large library of samples to build rich multi-timbral sounds.

With a 16-track sequencer, 32-voice polyphony, MIDI in, out, thru, emulated filters, and a selection of effects, the 01/WFD still holds its own against many modern workstations.

Time to get hands on, with this CM Labs MotorMix control surface for $250. Connects via MIDI, so it's quite compatible with different DAWs, I've used it with Logic Pro X. Connects with the the 5-pin DIN connector, so you may need a MIDI interface.

In great working condition, with the only issue being that the motors for faders 1 and 2 get a little stuck here and there. Comes with the manual and two MIDI cables.

This is an MXR M-163 Sustain compressor pedal for $120. This is from MXR’s Commande series of pedals, made in the USA in the 80s. The sound is fairly similar to a Dyna Comp, with a fast attack that’s perfect for country licks.

For power you can use a center positive 1/8” power adapter or a 9v battery.

A cool Fender bass that isn’t seen as much, the Fender Bullet Bass Deluxe for $1500.This one is from the early 80s, made in USA, before this model got moved under the Squier name and sent overseas to Japan.

The Bullet Bass Deluxe is the long scale version (34"), as opposed to the non-Deluxe Bullet Bass, which was a short scale. Overall, it’s in great condition for its age, with only a couple of minor dings. The neck fills the hand nicely, similarly to a P-Bass. Comes with the original hard case.

A sleek all-black Ibanez RS440 Roadstar II Deluxe. This one is from 1985, made in Japan.

This model features a rosewood fretboard, an HSS pickup configuration, a 5-way switch, master volume and tone k***s, and a push-push pot on the tone control to coil-split the bridge pickup. All original hardware, including the machine heads, the locking vibrato and pop-in arm, and the wicked strap buttons.
