Rhododendron 'Many Moons' is such a deep pure yellow! I see cuttings in my future.

My daughter picked out this one a few years back and we're so glad she did. Rhododendron 'Josephine' is in full bloom and really stands out against the others.

The picture doesn't do this rhododendron justice. 'Lady de Rothschild' is a real gem in the landscape and quickly becoming one of my new favorites. I took 10 cuttings last fall and it looks like they all rooted!

Rhododendron 'Taurus' is starting to open up. This variety often gets missed because it blooms earlier than most but it's a grand entrance into spring and puts on a beautiful show every year.

Hi Mike, I hope you and your family are all keeping safe and well during this horrible pandemic that has hit us all! My name is Matt Hennessy and I live in England, right on the south coast. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I came across your videos on the internet and before I knew it, had signed up to watch the 'Propagate Plants Like a Pro' series. I am sure you have been told this a million times but your enthusiasm is totally infectious! I really enjoyed the videos. I laughed when you were holding up a cutting and were shouting "LOOK AT THESE ROOTS MAN" because I get the same buzz from taking cuttings. I have a small misting system in my greenhouse and have only really rooted softwood cuttings of simple plants like Salvia's, but I will be building the propagating system in your video and taking on the challenge of Rhododendron's! Thanks again, and all the best with your nursery in the future! Aa
So it’s my first time propagating roses and you won’t believe this but my cutting sprouted roots st the TOP!!!! Now what do I do?! I hope you see this message lol! It’s only been 2 weeks since I started this process!
At last I have pictures of our standard Fuchsia my husband grew from scratch x
Dear Mike, Is there a cheaper, but effective, and more readily available alternative to fine fir bark, especially for doing many rose cuttings? Thanks for your detailed video and cheery disposition. Linda
Watched your video Propagating Green Giants....Just wonderful and I UNDERSTAND your enthusiasm. Wonder how to become a member??
Could you send me your recipe for your fertilizer with Epsom salt n miracle grow. I didn't the name of the other two products and where I can order them thanks so much
Hi Mike, my name is Denise. I found your site by accident and now I'm so excited to learn more and more. I watched your video on starting roses from a cutting. OMG! I had no idea I could do that. I can't wait to try it myself. I can't thank you enough. I've had two major back surgeries in the last 8 months and with this awful virus now, thank God my family is healthy an I pray yours is as well, has me so depressed feeling so hopeless. You made me come back to life giving me something I can't wait to do. A reason to get up an outside. God Bless you. I haven't felt like this in so long. Your new excited fan. 🌹🌱 PS: I loved watching you include your girls. So many children just set in front of video games. I also love Johnny. 🐓👭
Hi Mike, Just discovered your channel. Excellent videos ~ thankyou !! I have just watched your fertilizer mix of Miracle Grow, Epsom Salts & Mother Plant. Very interesting! My question is: I'm planting several new plants this year to attract pollinators in my garden and wondering what to use to encourage more growth and how often. A larger batch of your mix or something else and are these things safe for wildlife? I'm a relatively new gardener and there is a confusing amount of information out there. I have chipmunks, birds, squirrels, bunnies, raccoons, ... that frequent the yard and want to keep them safe. These are the types of things I'm planting: Blanket Flower, Amazing Daisies, Candy Tuff, Beardstongue, Cosmos, Sweet Pea, Lavender, Black-eyed Susan, Coneflower, Daylilies, Coreopsis, Speedwell Veronica, Pincushion, Aster, Anemone, Potentilla ... Thank you in advance- any help would be appreciated. Also - I am in Southern Ontario near the Escarpment/ Lake Ontario.
Thank you for showing me the correct way to propagate my hydrangeas. I always just pulled down a branch onto the ground and covered it with the dirt and a rock. That works, but not as quickly as your method. Going to try it with lavender now. Wish me luck!
What is the granulated fertilizer that you and your daughters put on the petunias?
i need some help with digging up red dogwood and replanting it
I live in Maryland and use Fine Pine Bark Mulch as potting soil for all of my potted plants and new transplants, per Mike's suggestion. It works great; in fact it worked so well, I went back and re-potted all of my containers plants with it. The one question everyone asks me though is does this potting soil provide enough nutrients for the plants. I assume so, but don't have a good response. Ideas?
