The problem I’ve always had with online stores, is that they feel like Big Box stores. You know, there’s never anyone around to help you when you need it, and if you can find someone, they aren’t from that department, so they can’t help you either. They have everything you could ever want, if you could just find it. The problem with local hobby shops (LHS) is that the closest one may be a few, or

a hundred miles away. If they’re a dedicated model train store, they have people who are knowledgeable about model trains, but they may not have a huge selection to choose from. So I thought, what if I could take the best part of the LHS, and combine it with the broad inventory of the online store. What if I created a place that had a huge selection, but also has helpful videos to show tips tricks and techniques of model railroading? What if I created the virtual hobby shop I would want to use?
